I appreciate this thread has the potential to fill up with a lot of very bad advice very quickly, but it's something I've wondered a while seeing we have such a melting pot of different personalities and incomes here, how actively do people on this forum invest any of their disposable income, and what they invest it into; property, shares, crypto?
I'd be keen to put some money into stocks monthly, and there seems to be two options of how to do this to me ignorant eyes. Either via a managed shares ISA, which seems to offer pretty meagre returns, but requires minimal knowledge, or via a trading platform, which offers the highest risk and reward, but requires you having a clue about what you're doing, which I do not.
So how do you all approach this, if you do?
