Add that to the current championship-winning team, now how the fuck are we supposed to compete with THAT lot?
 
Who said they're going to buy all of them? It's just who they've been linked with, there's no guarantee they're getting the last three, especially Sneijder, while Barca and a few other sides are in for Sanchez.

We'll have spent 50 million on the collective awesome firepower of Henderson, Adam and Downing.

Mancs will never know what hit 'em.
 
it seems like united aren't going to make the mistake we made in the early 90's; fail to strengthen while on top.
they seem determined to prove that 'winning happens in cycles/all dynasties come to an end' are just tired cliches.
 
They do what they always do: pay over-the-odds for young, British (or Premier League proven) players.

Look at their last 10 odd years of signings, it's always the same: Carrick, Bosnich, Ferdinand, Hargreaves, Yorke, Cole, Sheringham, Berbatov, Cantona, Valencia, Smalling, Jones, Young, I could go on and on...

Not one of them an unearthed gem, and 99% of the time they pay way way more than they're (a) worth, or (b) what they could have got them for a year or two earlier.

It's a strange strategy, but it's one that works.

Sneijder stated last week that he'll stay in Italy, and Utd cant pay his wages.

Sanchez can easily move to Barca, and the Udinese president said last night that City are favourites.

Utd can end up with two of those players, and they can get a few more.
In the end who cares, we need to strengthen our team to challenge and not worry about them.
