He deserves a lot of credit. Not comparable to someone like Gerrard in terms of talent, but his attitude and leadership were a big part of creating one of the most consistent teams I've ever seen in football. Already a CL, Club World Cup and Premier League winner.

Maybe even @Woland will finally admit he's not "fucking shite." 🙂

It's like The Shawshank Redemption without the wife being murdered and all that assorted buggery. It's the Hendo Redemption. As I've always thought, that's a VAST improvement! Hendo is just a great northern working class hero, and he's swum though some incredible shite over the years but what a character he is. An LFC legend, without any doubt for me.

Cant wait

The way he's dragged himself to the top illustrates the work ethic of all the players in our squad, and seeing an 'everyman' like Henderson captaining us to these trophies shows a squad with world class players that don't behave too much like stars. I think he deserves a lot of credit for that.

We’ve had some pretty good working class heroes from Sunderland eh?

Delighted for him and once again shows the team is always bigger than individual talent.

I've been in his corner from day one, but even so I would never have imagined him improving so much and becoming so crucial to the team and the club.

Special thought for his dad today. I hope this helps shore up Henderson Snr's health.

Jordan Henderson and Brian Henderson YNWA.

He's just brilliant. He never deserves the "he's not Gerrard, but...“ line.

Puts on 7/10 performances plus every single week. That's the lowest he'll ever drop to because his mentality, work rate and desire just prevent him from ever being average.

Titles are built on that sort of consistency. The respect he commands around the dressing room just says it all. Klopp has worked wonders for him but Henderson has also been essential in delivering that vision. It's a special moment for the pair of them and it's thoroughly deserved.

From nearly being swapped for Clint Dempsey to European Cup and PL winning Liverpool Captain. It's inspiring stuff.

Yeah man... aside from being tearfully happy having waited 30 fucking years I couldn't be happier for a player...

He utterly deserves it, 100% every time he pulls on the shirt you get 100% and that is why he is officially a great Liverpool captain.

He has worked so hard to get where he is now, always giving more than 100%!

A brilliant captain and can't wait for him to lift the TROPHY!! 🙂

Sort of a Fight Club situation where Dreamy and Wet Wet Wet WetDreambeliever actually think they are two different people

In the manner of a sci-fi movie, maybe the moment Dreamy quoted himself marked the moment when the two Dreamys finally merged into one. At which point a framed pic of B*Witched fell off the wall and a dusty bottle of Malibu exploded.

Always liked Henderson and thought he was worth keeping around but to be fair, he did have a season or two where his level dropped and he was struggling.

The way he's picked it up though is credit to him (and Klopp), not just in terms of his own game but the way he influences the team as a whole - proper captain stuff. I remember a few occasions in which he came on as a sub and you immediately felt the intensity of the team as a whole kick up a notch or two. Key part of our success.
