This is the kid I think @Holle has been banging on about for ages.
If he's looking for a move - a really good option imo to strengthen this team.

[article]German international Joshua Kimmich wants to leave Bayern Munich this summer. He’s unhappy with coach Carlo Ancelotti, while RB Leipzig and Man City are named as the two likely suitors.

Stuttgarter Zeitung believe that the Bayern Munich bosses want Kimmich to emerge as the long term successor for Philpp Lahm, but Ancelotti isn’t into that idea.

This season he only made 15 starts for Bayern, scoring five goals in the Bundesliga.

Kimmich is under contract at the Allianz Arena until 2020, but there’s reason to believe the German international will leave the club before the end of his contract.

He’s been talking about leaving for months, and having come to the fore under Guardiola, a move to Man City makes sense.[/article]

Thought he looked full of potential at the Euros. Not sure where his best position will end up. Guardiola is probably a good fit for him.

Guardiola looks unsure about the best position for almost all of his players, so he might indeed be a good fit for Kimmich. Ancelotti, by contrast, doesn't have much use for jack-of-all-trades types.

What type of midfielder is Kimmich ?

A German Milner, for lack of a better analogy. Hard to pin him down, really. Not an AM, but has a knack for scoring goals, can play anywhere including the CB, not a playmaker. Optimal position probably somewhere between CM and FB.

Completely agree. He was better than anything we have at fullback at Euros. I haven't seen much of his midfield work but have read good reviews overalll

Bayern Munich have vowed to take legal action against a Stuttgart newspaper for reporting that midfielder Joshua Kimmich will leave the club at the end of the season.
Bayern said on their website that it is taking the action against Stuttgarter Zeitung for what chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge calls "a monstrous fallacy."
"That report is simply false," Rummenigge said. "There is no truth in this story.
"Joshua has a contract with Bayern until 2020 and will definitely still play for Bayern next season."
Kimmich, a 22-year-old versatile midfielder who has made 13 appearances for Germany, is reportedly unhappy he did not feature as much this season under coach Carlo Ancelotti as he did under predecessor Pep Guardiola.
He has been linked to a move to Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, as well as both Manchester United and Manchester City.
