So he is a player I quite often come to blows about with @Frogfish as I have always thought he is good for a 4th choice (just) but not starting material. The fact is, he has brought stability to our ship.

I have to give great credit to a guy who has constantly been shunned by the squad over the past 18 months and has had to watch error after error cost us games. Happy for the guy and hope he continues in this form - with a few of the forward players getting back into their groove we might be able to get a run going to keep up fighting with for 3rd/4th spots.

I wish he and Lovren could play together, as I prefer Lovren to Skrtel, but yes, Kolo has made a massive difference (as has Lucas) up top of that he's immensely likeable, so I'm glad he's doing well.

He's the same age as John Terry and has similar experience. Sometimes you just need an experienced cute defender who can shout and organise. I can't believe we weren't playing him earlier. Rafa dropped Terry because he thought he was done and now two seasons later him and Cahill are the best pairing in the league, regardless of your hatred for him he is still one of the best, should still be starting for England too imho.
Kolo always has a mistake in him, I accept that, a pretty calamitous one at that, but if he's in a rich run of form you just play him until that happens. I would keep him in the team until that happens, or keep him in it after that happens because it's not as if the rest of the defence or keeper have covered themselves in glory. He is a senior player who can lead by example and has what Lovren and to a lesser extent what Sahko were meant to bring to us. I just hope now that given the run of form Brendan keeps Lovren on the bench.

Rafa dropped Terry because he plays a higher defensive line and Terry is no good at that because he has very little pace. Mourinho plays a much deeper line which is why Terry's best form has come under him.

Yep, pretty much. This is also why he looked so dire under AVB.

I think he may be benefiting from a fairly lengthy spell out through non selection so is really fresh at the moment. I hope he can stay this fit for a while.

Kin ell chaps, lets not go overboard eh

Ok we won but we played Ludocraps and Leicester Shity... and conceded 3 goals.. He has done ok an improvement on Lovren, the expereince he has certainly made a differance but really should of done better for Leicester goal yesterday...

I will reserve my Judgement on him when we come to play bigger and better teams

Deserves to keep his place. Much safer than that waste of money Lovren and even makes Skittles look vaguely competent.

I'm all for keeping Kolo in the team. I also think it's a good move bringing on Lovern towards the end of games. It looks like it's to get us across the line in the matches but it also gives Lovern a bit of time to rebuild his confidence which has surely taken a battering.

I thought he shouldn't have let his man go for Leicester's goal, but overall he's been very competent since coming back in which is way more than can be said for Lovren.

I'm not so sure this bringing on an extra defender and taking off an attacker is a good idea at all. All it seems to do is bring added pressure on us.

Toure is alright, I don't mind him.

It's pretty depressing that we find ourselves talking up the positives of Toure, Lambert and Lucas. Less depressing than watching us lose games with some of the other clowns, but still.

Red Top Jono strikes again!

We're probably only a week or so away from adding the name of Brad Jones to that triumverate too y'know.
