Mr Beast is looking to buy it, talk of Elon also buying.

Problem is, it can't be trusted cos China will take all our data/info but millions of Americans are downloading the app calling themselves tiktok refugees.

Americans are asking if the social credit system is real, Chinese are saying it's not.
Chinese are asking if they really have to pay for an ambulance.

So Communist China or Capitalist Murica app.

Who has downloaded it?

Used it to get recs for my travels in China.

It's literally like another social media app. Very much like Instagram.

Not sure what the fuss is? It's not pouring out mind altering waves

The owners of the X and Meta are way more closely tied to the US government than TikTok is to the Chinese one. It's most certainly a commercial decision rather than a security one. Suspect it'll go ahead.
