Premiership side Liverpool have reportedly agreed a fee with Roma for goalkeeper Alexander Doni.
Sky Sport 24 makes the claim, adding that it is now up to the Brazilian whether to accept the move or not.
Roma are set to sign a new ‘keeper this summer after Julio Sergio and Doni shared the gloves last term under Claudio Ranieri and Vincenzo Montella respectively.
With the young Coach now gone, Doni doesn’t figure heavily in the thinking of the Eternal City outfit.
This is Roma’s last chance to net significant money for the custodian seeing as his contract expires in 2012.
The Brazilian international joined the Giallorossi in 2005 from Juventude.
Doni became a regular in Rome, but eventually lost his place to Julio Sergio in 2009-10 as a result of injuries and mediocre form.
"I spoke to the club (Roma) yesterday and they confirmed they are holding talks with Liverpool to reach an agreement regarding the transfer of Doni," Doni's agent, Ovidio Colucci, said.
"Once an agreement is reached betwen the two clubs, we will begin negotiating personal terms with Liverpool.
"Doni would be very happy to join Liverpool and play in the Premier League."
