Never seen him play but a lot of people on here mocked jealavic (?) when he was first linked to us then eventually went to everton.

I don't think Jelavic was mocked as such. It was more a matter of asking whether he was really good enough, since the Scottish league isn't exactly the most competitive. I agree it's a relevant comparison though, in that it should teach us not to write Hooper off just because he's "only" been playing in the SPL.

Dont know anything about him besides that he scored a lot of goals for Scunthorpe before he moved to Celtic.

I can remember Pesam singing his praises before he went to Celtic as a future star.

Good memory Doc, I mentioned he'd be a big hit in the SPL and suggested he would leave Celtic for £10m+ within a couple of years. He's a superb player and I was going to start a thread about him soon because I knew he wouldn't sign his new contract (he hinted during the summer that he wanted to play in a major league soon) and I also knew he only has just over a year left on his contract......................so I was gonna post that we could make Celtic a cheeky offer of £7m-£8m. I would rather have him for the money than Jordan Rhodes. I think Hooper will be a 20+ per season striker in the EPL.

Can play on the wing aswell. Scores goals and is very pacey. I'd sign him if the price is right.
