Games missed due to injury in the last 5 years. Not great to see Konate already in 6th place at 23…

But even if Konate hadn't kicked a ball for us yet and had just signed he'd still be pretty high on that list....we all knew he was an injury prone before we signed him.

A mid season World Cup was a great idea since most of our players were too shit to partake extensively in it.

Pity they spent all their free time snorting halal coke in Salah's pad instead of training

Both our CBs who are out injured were involved though.

Milner I guess. I hate this poster's use of nicknames, nothing I can do though.
Makes sense as he is more senior. Steph has made more senior appearances than Gordon but doesn't feature. Gordon looks to be another player who won't fulfil his potential

Other than us and Chelsea, don't see other clubs being decimated by injuries post-WC.

The Premier league has the most injuries in Europe. No doubt due to an insane fixture list and no focus on players wellbeing in terms of fitness.

Forest, Leicester, Utd, Chelsea, us, Leeds and Bournemouth all have over 7 players out injured.

I'm actually really impressed at how Matip has managed to compete with Ox. The man always rises to the occasion.

I don't think these sorts of injuries are down to club doctors really, they are just a snowball effect.

Keita is going to be injured soon if he isn't already. The reason why is because we NEED to play him, even though he can't play consistently. If you have injury prone players, then due to necessity other injury prone players will end up playing more games than they should.

This is why changing the system to suit the squad better is a must - whether it’s 3 at the back as I suggested or some variation of 4-4-2, but either way it’s crucial we switch to something with 2 central midfielders and a less expansive style. The 3 of Bajcetic-Keita-Thiago is no more than a temporary solution; you’re relying on two injury-prone players and an 18-year-old DM to play every game and anytime the “senior pros” like Hendo and Fabs come into this system, even for a few minutes at the end, they completely fuck it up. This is NOT sustainable.

Play Naby until he breaks. He's off this summer anyways. So let's use the last 45 minutes he has in him.

What is ridiculous is how after tightening the ship and bringing the banks together with success, we decided we were rested and ready to go back to the normal set up after the WC break.

We also have to factor in that it takes Darwin’s brain 3 weeks to receive and process the fact he’s injured.

That’s before someone needs to explain to him what it means.

Team played loads last season, had a short break, condensed first part of the season, some went the World Cup and loads gets injured.

What could the cause be? It’s a mystery.
