he's so odd.
greatest manager ever - taken shit teams like barca, bayern and man city to the summits time after time. No financial advantage, teams were always bottom of the league when he takes them and look at the history he creates.
he's amazing.
Him and Mourinho.
they put all those we thought were greats to shame.

So... a DM needs to be intelligent, a trait evidenced by the lack of tattoos and what not.

In other words, he's calling Ederson, Sterling and the rest thick.

I think he means they shouldn't be flash, understated people = understated selfless footballers.

I sort of agree. Masher, Didi, Fabinho, Matic, Carrick, Makelele, Basquets. Barely a tattoo or fancy haircut between them.

You should read The Barcelona Way by Damian Hughes (less a football book, more an organisational psychology one) - here is a quote that shows there is previous form on this line of thought :

[article]
"Pedro was moved to the first team alongside Sergio Busquets, another footballer who had shown intelligence, focus and a fundamental understanding of his role in the youth ranks. For Guardiola, it also helped that he didn’t have a ridiculous haircut or tattoos. ‘They are like a throwback,’ observes Javier Mascherano, the Argentine defender or midfielder. ‘No tattoos, earrings, nothing like that. It can feel like they are from a different age. They love football, love what we do and that’s it. They would rather avoid all the stuff that comes with football and just play.’7" (from "The Barcelona Way: How to Create a High-Performance Culture" by Damian Hughes)

I think we have a decent amount of those types in our side, they're always my preferred type. Although everybody loves a Bobby.

Mourinho ? Why include him? Porto Inter Milan were never top of the pile to win the CL, but he managed it. Thats why you cant include him in that Pep greatness.

As for his comments ,, so glad he said that regarding tattoos and hair styles etc.. footballers should focus on their games and not constantly looking at social media and self style bollocks

Inter spent the most of any team in Europe five years straight. Mancini couldn't hack it so they brought Maureen in to finish the job off. He was very much expected to win the CL

Really ? Most of the players were OAPs, end of life bollocks. How is that even possible ?

Half a billion, ten years ago

How? Oil refinery
Yeah checked the figures, i know the owner was one of the big spenders in the late 90s but when he won it and those players included Zannetti, i was like what the fuck ? And assumed he just stopped spending money on that team leading upto their CL win. Still I dont think winning with them should detract from jose's acheivement as the Italian league has become generallly shit.

I fuckin hate the jumped up prick.....

The way he overreacts to certain decisions in games really fucking annoys me....

That and his shit casual wear.
