Keep the hatred of Fergie, anger at dubious 50/50 calls and the optimism that we're on the right path right here please.

We played well today, I'm not as dejected as I usually am when we lose.
The red card killed us imo.
Very gutsy by Rodgers to put Suso on.

In the circumstances can't be too unhappy with what happened today apart from the ref. Still don't know where our goals will come from though.

Hard to take a defeat like that. We played very well considering we were down to ten men against a team full of quality players. Halsey got two huge decisions wrong both resulted in the game being changed. We have got three very tough home games out of the way, now we need to kick on and get a win.

Keep the faith.

Can't believe we lost that. We fucking destroyed them cunts and go away with nothing, we're fuckibng cursed or something.

Proud of the effort and performance.

1. Agree. Either I'm getting old, don't care as much, or I'm firmly in Ross's frame of thinking (results aren't the most important thing this year).
2. It didn't though - we still created good chances, and had we got over last year's 'miss the goal'titis, we may even have won with 10 men. Have you seen the pic I posted? Your definite red card statement was perhaps that for Evans, who went in with two feet.
3. I love the way he rewards youngsters for good performances and has faith in them. LOVE IT. Can't remember a manager since I started watching footy actively who did this for Liverpool.

Thats the best we've played so far under Rodgers, we were totally bossing them until a really harsh sending off changed the game. I had written off our first 5 games when I saw the fixture list.

If we can replicate the effort and composure of the first 45 minutes today over the rest of the season we will be absolutely fine

The very good performance is overshadowed by a horrendous ref. Surprise surprise the last time reffed this game they won aswell.

We deserved to get something out of the game. The red card made it hard for us, but it nearly impossible to win against 12 men.

I dont normally blame referees, even though I dont have much confidence in them, but I thought Halsey was shocking today. Jonjo is probably a red but so is the Evans tackle on him. Suarez is a blatant penalty and the ref is looking straight at it, whilst the penalty they got is soft. RVP's tackle late in the game is as much a red as Jonjo's .

Bad day at the office for Mark, and it could have cost us the match that we deserved to win for our performance.

Played great, ref ruined it. I can see the improvements and the season starts from here. I never thought we would have more than 5 points after these 5 fixtures anyway as we were starting afresh.

It was 2-0 to Man U in decisions made in their favour.
Shelvey got red card for a lesser challenge than Van Persie's, when he got a red.
Suarez had as much contact as Valencia did when they respectably went down in the penalty area hoping for a penalty.

It looks like Agger could be out for a good while which is a big blow.
Soon enough points will be needed more than good performances.
There were plenty of good performances in the early part of last season and we all believed that it was only a matter of time before the results followed.
Unless we get some points on the board really soon then we run the risk of the players losing the faith and belief.

Gary Neville has it spot on - Suarez got caught but why the theatrical throw of the head?
It doesn't do him or us any favours whatsoever when it comes to getting decisions going our way?
Wish he'd cut it out.

Honestly thought halsey wasn't bad today. Made a few errors but not loads. It's easy to blame him, but we didn't score the goal at the end of the day.

Obviously in the ground I can't see it all, but thought the red card looked fair (although I am curious about Evans attempt)

P. S United fans are chanting Hillsborough songs when they were kept back

Cunts.

Yes, but some great movement. Just needs some calmness after he gets it.

His movement is good and he has pace and energy but he seems to lack technique and awareness which is a big worry.

You could see a notable difference in quality when Suso replaced him.

Johnson and Allen are my men of the match

Gerrard and Sterling just below

Halsey was horrendous mate. Two major calls - both wrong
