Felt this deserved a new thread as it is now official and will have ramifications on us winning the league.
What does this mean for us now?

No idea if this pushes the season into the summer and cancels the euros, lets just hope we get to play another 2 fixtures whatever happens.

The easiest and fairest thing to do is to wait until this dies out, resume the current season and push back next season into the summer, keeping the Euros postponed.

I cannot see another solution which will it be subject to many legal challenges from the clubs who lose out.

The Euros is defo cancelled regardless imo. No way I can envisage it going ahead. A normal one nation euros would be hard enough, but one spread out over so many countries just can't happen.

If that’s the case, you’d hope they’d reconvene and finish the league, even if it goes over the normal end time as the Euros won’t be happening.

The bookies had it to be cancelled at 5/6 a few days ago, before this shit got even worse.

It makes sense (at least to me) to suspend all currently underway competitions until further notice and reschedule the rest of the calendar.

Anything that voids a current competition is bound to bring multiple lawsuits.

Finish the season even if it has to be June/July. Start next season in September but cancel the domestic cup competitions for one season and the 2020/21 league should then be able to finish in may as usual.

For me there's no chance season resumes at all let alone in 3 weeks.

Season void after 29 games, Liverpool - champions, Liverpool City Leicester CHelsea all in CL, Bournemouth Villa Norwich cya later.

Season 20/21 hopefully kicks off as normal in mid August.

Take city out because they're banned and i'm in love

Lets say for arguments sake, they restart the league in a month and let it run into the summer and bin off the euros etc. How do they keep the players fit and training for the next month to be ready for the season to start back up?? The Leics and arse squad are quarantined so can't train at all for 2wks as it is, even training by themselves. Can you imagine the size Shaq will come back it he can't train for a month!

The UK Government estimate is up to 14 weeks for the virus to peak. Let's be generous and say another 4 weeks for things to get back to 'normal' as the virus disappears.

We then need another 9 weeks to play out the rest of the league season. That would take us to the middle of September to reach the end of the season.

I'm a selfish bitch, so to me the league effectively ends when we beat City. After that I don't care...

City players have nothing to play for anyway so they've mentally checked out I guess...

Leicester is almost safe for the CL, so they're fine too. With Arteta sick, Arse might need a new manager. Chelsea too has more important things to worry about.

There is one team in red though who has everything to play for so let's hope they do their prescribed training. They don't seem to do well after long breaks though....

Quelle surprise that Spurs and West Ham want the season nulled. The bottom six in particular will be all for it.

Thankfully, it doesnt look like happening.

My solution..

Move Euros to 2021

Restart the season end of July/ August..

Allow normal transfer window... Restart Champions League end of July beginning of August as well as the FA Cup

Allow FA cup qualifying for the following season to start as norm

Season finishes Allow a 4 week pre season break the end of September.. beginning of October

Restart new Season in November

Champions League restarts knockout only.. however only the highest 64 teams in coefficient rankings take part, 1st and 2nd rounds seeded..

Europa League next 64 in the coefficient rankings with the first 32 losers from 1st round of the CL dropping down to the EL in the 2nd round... 2nd round seeded

Cancel the league cup,

PL Split North and South, 18 games played..

FA cup rounds as normal

Top of each split play a playoff to decide the title, 2 legged affair.. both automatically qualify for the Champions League

Remaining Top 2 of each split play off to decide remaining 2 champions League places, 2 legged affair.. Winners of Each play off into the CL, losers of each play off go into the Europa League.

FA Cup winners going into Europa League, if FA winner already qualified for Europe highest points total from the 4th place team in either League

Relegation bottom team of each split relegated,. Team 9th in each split play off to Stay in the PL

Following season PL back to normal

Um. No.

If they cancel the Euros, there is more than enough time to get this season finished.
The whole september thing seems a bit to much given that its not possible to know how things are in May/June.
