Have we got a discussion on this somewhere already? We should have!

Who's with me in the 'thank fuck a top league is playing again' camp?

I'm going on record here as as a Schalke 04 fan purely based on the fact I used to live in Essen (whilst there I watched RW Essen and Dortmund but never Schalke - however that's not stopping me!).

Anyone else watching? For those that do whose for who?

Oh Yes, Dortmund - Schalke all the way.

Stuttgart tomorrow, which is my German team. And Klopp’s..

Soft spot for Dortmund cos of ynwa, boss fans, klopp links, etc.

Want to watch rb leipzig cos of werner links.

Wagner impressed me in the PL (despite results), so schalke should be good to watch.

Me & the lads decided we had to pick a struggling side to support too, so I've gone for union Berlin simply cos I loved the BBC doco on them & their socialist fans & stadium building etc.

Union is boss. As is St Pauli.

Freiburg one up. I’m swinging corner catches someone on their ankle and goes in.

Werner with a decent pass earlier on but his teammate couldn’t convert.

Fuck if I’m learning these German players names.

Weird seeing the players keeping a distance while celebrating, but lovely to have footy back. Lovely!

The half time music is making me laugh. What’s the point? There is Nobody to play it too.

I'm surprised how sharp the players look (schalke keeper being an exception as he's still asleep), considering it's almost like the start of a new season with no pre season matches.

Also, the rb leipzig game was horrible when I briefly switched to it cos it was almost silent.

It may be echoey but at least the subs & staff are making a fair bit of noise in the dortmund game.

For all matches all people at the ground should be made to shout. Even the cameramen.

It's very odd they can't celebrate together, yet walking back to the centre spot they touch arms in a weird high five.

Did look offside.

I was really excited about watching the Dortmund game. Ten minutes into the game, I realized that I really don't care or like club football unless we are involved.

I remember 10-12 years ago, I used to like watching neutral games also. Stopped watching them as I did not have time.

I was dead excited for today; arranged with my son which match we woudl watch. Then I was bored after 15 minutes & went and played with chainsaws instead

Not sure if it was the lack of crowds, the standard of football or (most likely) the fact neither team was Liverpool

I enjoyed the bits I watched. After a few minutes the lack of crowd wasn’t an issue. I dipped in to the Leipzig game and Dortmund games. I caught the last 15 of Frankfurt.

I’ve played on Buckley Hill and the likes for over a decade so no crowd isn’t abnormal for me.

I enjoyed it.

Out of my mates it was about 50/50 split, but the ones who didn't like it don't usually watch games other than Liverpool.

I think when you watch neutral games or footy in other settings you find it easier to just concentrate on the actual footy.

That said I did find the dortmund match better to watch cos the subs & staff were fucking noisy.

Thought it was fine. All being well and no issues arise, hard for PL not to restart especially if no second peak or wave of covid. Belgian, Dutch and French leagues might have been a bit premature perhaps in cancelling

Of course its not the same when we dont play Covid 19 or not, but at least some form of football is back.
