Thinks he owns the place

There is a rumour doing the rounds on other sites that we want him. Apperantly as a replacement for Raul. Dont see Everton selling to us, but there are those who think he's a red. One of the more far fetched transfers, but a good player.

Another one is that we've bid 11 mill + 2 players for Shawcross. One of them is Poulsen.

Its silly season alright.

Shawcross was quite good a couple of seasons ago. Didn't really see much of him last year though. How does he compare to Cahill?

We might want him, but there isn't a snowflake's chance in Hell that we'll get him. The blueslime might sell us a Barmby or a Xavier but there's no way on the planet they'd sell us this fella.

When I see Shawcross run, I think of Kirkland. That is not a good thing..

I don't know if my bluenose mates are coming to terms with the fact that he's off or they actually think he's shit

I'd go with that one, and they'd be right.

He's always been excellent against Torres aswell.

Just as strong, possibly more so, but nowhere near as classy. I'd far sooner we signed Cahill.

Well, the rumour is apperantly true. Confirmed by one of his uncles. Young Rodwell has been offered around to avfew clubs and onecof them are us. It will be Manure or City though..

He's one of those that could go either way Rodwell, he's not really progressed as much as expected but could blossom under the right manager, unfortunately it looks like it's gonna be that cunt up the East Lancs.

Re: Re: Rodwell

I think he's average and always will be. Perhaps he'll have Moments, but I mostly see him being average

Do Everton fans not think this lad is rubbish while, for some reason, everyone else continues to hype him up?

Pretty much. That said, if they lose Fellatio and Rodwell this Summer, it's a massive blow.

Re: Re: Rodwell

It's a blow to them if they lose anyone their squads that small

True, noticed the other day aswell that they've let James Vaughan go, I always thought he could have been a cracking player, he was fucked though, he used to throw himself into everything (literally) and he's had too many injuries now.

MAN CITY and Spurs are battling Man United for the signature of Everton and England starlet Jack Rodwell.

Roberto Mancini sent scouts to Denmark to watch the midfield schemer
, 20, in action against Spain and has been told Rodwell would be a sound investment at £25million.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp also jetted to Denmark to run a personal check on Rodwell, who played for the last half-hour of the 1-1 draw with the Spaniards.

Rodwell has been a long-term Man United target but Redknapp is trying to muster a young side capable of going for the title.

Sir Alex Ferguson has already spent £32m on Phil Jones and Ashley Young, with a further £18m earmarked to bring Atletico Madrid keeper David de Gea as a replacement for the retired Edwin van der Sar. But Eastlands will be the main threat to Fergie’s Rodwell hopes.

Mancini is a long-time admirer and approached Goodison boss David Moyes last season to enquire about his availability.

The Italian was given short shrift as Moyes was determined to keep his young star.

But now the Everton boss needs cash to land No.1 target, Wigan’s Charles N’Zogbia.

Latics chairman Dave Whelan has admitted he is resigned to losing the Frenchman.

I know it's trivial, but I like trivial... does he have a scouse accent?
[/quote]

Not really.

Hopefully Rodwell will end up at City or Spurs then, as long as he's not a Liverpool player next season i'll be happy enough.

Poster on RAWK:

Apparently this is linked to the potential Meireles move completing first and is still very much on the cards.

Baines, Jagielka & Fellaini are the only ones I'd sign.

Edit: Cahill's too old now and Arteta has become injury-prone.
