Gonna miss 3 games then

The Football Association has charged Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel with violent conduct following an incident towards the end of the 2-1 defeat by Manchester United on Sunday.
The Slovakian defender, 30, appeared to stamp on United goalkeeper David De Gea during injury time at Anfield.
Skrtel has until 18:00 GMT on Tuesday to respond.

Referee Martin Atkinson did not see the incident involving Skrtel and United keeper De Gea.
Referee Martin Atkinson did not see the incident but three former officials agreed it was a sending-off offence.
The trio made the decision after reviewing footage of the incident.
Unless Skrtel successfully appeals he will receive a three-match ban, ruling him out of Premier League matches at Arsenal (4 April) and at home to Newcastle (April 13), plus the FA Cup quarter-final replay at Blackburn on 8 April.
Captain Steven Gerrard will also miss those matches after his red card 38 seconds after coming on on Sunday.

FA playing a blinder as usual.

There isn't a shred of evidence to say that it was intentional.

I should fucking hope it was intentional, he should have made sure that he finished the job properly. Incompetent fool.
I often think this.

I just wish one of our players would jaw someone. If Stevie would have knocked (insert any manc player's name here) out on Sunday with a right hook I wouldn't have been half as arsed.

Still a red card offence, so fucking do it properly.

And then be faced with a 7 or 8 game suspension. Where's the logic in that?
Cos at least it's actual fucking violent conduct.

I just hate all this namby pamby shit. Of you squared up to someone in the street or the pub the way these do every match, & then shoved at someone's cheek with your open hand you'd get your head kicked in, & rightly so. Just chin the cunt if you're angry enough to raise your hand in the first place.

I just don't understand why footy players seem of fighting like actual men instead of, well, I don't know, cos girls actually fight properly in my experience (that thing where they grab the other girls hair so they can fling them to the ground & smash their head into the deck repeatedly. Ouch).

Notice that none of the hacks have mentioned Rooney's sly little kick when Mingolet was landing.

In this case making sure De Gea was out for a good couple of months was our best remaining chance of getting into the top 4. The needs of the many. Did he really die for nothing?

I just don't get it. Is be being charged for intentionally stamping on De Gea? If so, how do they prove intent? On the other hand, if it's just a retrospective red card, then fair enough it was worthy of a red whether it was intentional or not.

But if it's the latter, then why aren't they investigating the Rooney incident too? He blatantly kicked Ming in the ankle. Whether it was accidental or not, it should be a red card. Twatkinson didn't see that incident either so it's within the FA's powers to charge him. Whatever way you look at it, the FA have made an absolute cunt of things.

I think Atkinson saw Rooneys. Same as he saw Jones headbutting Lallan...He just doesnt see them as red cards or even bookings... Herrera falling in front of Allens feet on the other hand should be punished.

But, as with spitgate, there does not need to be intent.

Allowing your foot to move towards the ground without due diligence to ensure there isn't a scum ankle between said foot and said ground, regardless of your speed, momentum & line of sight, is the equivalent of orally emitting a quantity of saliva without ensuring it is in a direction away from nearby players.
