Thoughts on the football you have seen so far? All leagues, players?

I'll start with a couple.
Swansea look brilliant. Gary Monk has done a great job there and they continue to look every bit the premier league team. Very impressive every time ive seen them so far.

Real Betis have a young right back called Piccini who I saw for the first time ever last night and he was fantastic.

Sunderland look a shambles, they look in big trouble already.

Whats happened to Rooney? Is it JUST because hes in my FF team? If it is im willing to keep him in.

Rooney has been playing top flight football since he was 16 and like Torres and Owen that's starting to show. He'll get better because he isn't this bad, but I think United are taking a huge risk relying on him this year.

Adam Traore. Only on the pitch for 10 minutes but forced an own goal. His pace is terrifying and he cause problems this year.

Mahraz at Leicester looks very decent as does Wilson who netted a hatrick for Bournemouth. He looks everything we thought Origi would be.

It's been commented on plenty so it's not my observation, but the PL seems to be turning into another CL in that it's exhausting and virtually impossible to retain.

Nobody has done it since 2009 now. City look way fresher than Chelsea. You'd have to make them slight favourites at this stage.

Oh and I think England have the makings of a brilliant young team.

Wijnaldum is gonna be out of Newcastle by next season.

City's average dross have become world beaters over summer.

Agree about Swansea. Gomis looks like a quality forward this season so far.

Man United look awful attacking

Chelsea look so frail defensively,i don't know what to make of it. They looked leggy and awful positionally in every game so far

Pedro, hazard and willian looked like a right handful yesterday , If the back 6 (Inc Matic) can get their house in order then Chelsea will be lethal.

West Ham go from sublime to ridiculous in the space of minutes

Swansea are a real pacey attacking threat

Palace are playing swashbuckling football too.

Sunderland look gash

Watford look OK, as do Norwich .

City look very good.

It literally looks like anyone could take points from anyone.

Terry and Ivanovic might be done.

James McCarthy could get a transfer to a top 4 team if he continues the way he's going.

Falcao still looks like he's running in glue.

Ha, I didn't want to bring that thread up.

To be fair, I expected both Terry and Ivanovic to be as they have been for years.

What's surprising though is the player most of us also chose was Matic, who's also looked well below his standards.

6 home wins after 29 games is bizzarre. Its usually around 50 %.

Swansea look very good. I really like Monk as a manager and he could probably get a bigger job in the next few years.

Harry Kane hasnt been good at all so far. Which I find both funny and a bit pleasing to all the new English Messi/Ronaldo hype that was going on.

Terry and Ivanovic look horrendous. Ivanovic was again made look extremely silly and dribbled of the park.

City look very good. Early favorites.

West Ham have started really poorly and Bilic is probably saved from loads of criticism after the win against Arsenal.

City have looked superb in all 3 games. Kompany and Yaya have resumed normal service and Silva has been out of this world. Sterling has had an average start at best. If they get De Bruyne to add to Otamendi then they are all set to take the league - assuming Kompany, YaYa and Fernandinho continue to play like they have been doing. Even Navas is beginning to look like the Spanish version rather than last season's shadow.

Everton look like a tough team to beat. Stones is vital to their defence though and if he leaves they had better spend that money wisely ... and quickly.

Spurs have looked less than average, despite being unlucky to lose to United, but if they are signing Berahino they will improve a lot.

United have a very solid defence .. but at the expense of their attack. I hope De Gea leaves, or if not that his head is elsewhere all season. They desperately need a big name striker and will go all out for one before they window closes. If they don't get one then they are in trouble and we are every bit as good and can challenge them, and should beat them to, 3rd/4th.

Arsenal still have weaknesses, in defence especially, and I doubt Giroud is good enough to lead them to the title. Unless the get a couple of top players before the window closes I no longer think they will challenge and could be fighting it out for 3rd/4th with us and United. We can get a result there tonight.

I've been really impressed with Bournemouth and hope they stay up. Norwich have been unlucky but should do OK. Sunderland are in dire straits and Watford will likely join them. Southampton are going to be mid-table this season.

The PL is a damn tough competition now, strength in depth and any team could turn over another, no matter who they are, especially when they are at home.

Barca vs Bilbao was an awful match. Barca looked nothing like the team we've come to know and love.

I think Kane is massively overrated and will be found out this season, hes the sort of player we usually buy after 1 great season who promptly turns to shit

We usually but those players when they're 25 and mistake s purple patch for improvement.

Kane is different, 31 goals at age 21 is a big deal, and a sure sign of talent, even if it is unlikely to be repeated.

I wouldn't be surprised if too many games last year is taking is toll

I'd hazard a guess that our pre-season training concentrated heavily on keeping things tighter at the back, and not before time. It's a pity Rodgers' job had to be on the line before he bowed to the inevitable and went this route. Had he done it a couple of seasons ago we might well have been champions.

2 games, 2 goals for Liverpool. There's plenty of room for improvement on the striking front.

I hope Bournemouth are able to keep up their performance levels. So far they've more than held their own in two of the toughest away fixtures in the PL, and deserve more than their 3 points. Playing lovely football, and they seem to have a few excellent players that have developed with the team over the past few seasons. I'd like to see them take some points off our rivals along the way.

He's still overrated aswell though. Good player mind and will have a very good career. Probably.

Only you seem to have found this English "Messi/Ronaldo hype", though. So yes, on that basis he is overrated. But back on planet earth he's an extremely good footballer and looks set to have a strong career at in the top flight.

As others have said, I thought Kane still played alright the first three games for Spurs despite having no support and looking exhausted. He hasn't scored yet but has come close several times without a boatload of opportunities.

I've yet to see them kick a ball but Leicester seem to be doing alright, early days but I was expecting a Sunderland style car crash from Ranieri.

Riiiight. So he hasnt been hyped up in the English media. Not at all. Cant remember where I read it but it was in some English rag.

As I said. Good player that will have a very good career. But overrated. And I hate his fucking jaw low pitch voiced face.

Good player and will have a very good career.

How is he overrated then? Who has said anything more than that?
