Be interesting to keep this going over the summer... I have enable the option remove your vote... If they spend big well you never know, you may want to change how you vote...

Just like to add.. are Man city going to be like Chelsea where and sign all our Transfer targets... ? Next on the agenda for them Tevez no doubt!!!!

Are we presuming that Mark Hughes will still be the manager?
again thats what the option to remove your vote is for

*coughs*

They're gonna push for a top 6 finish.
Its a bit early to say though as you dont know who they might sign until end of August.

I wouldn't surprised Peggy tbh, if Arsenal continue at their current rate, and City add to their already strong attacking power, they well could. Plus I don't think Hughes will be there much longer.

If Hughes is sacked mid-season, they might have already blown their chances to crack the top 4.

Let's not forget that Arsenal were on a long unbeaten run before getting embarrassed by Utd in the CL. If Wenger does well this summer, they'll be streets ahead of City.

That could be pushing to be a top 4 team if they add quality at the back. To be fair though, Moyes, as much as I despise the Scottish twat, is doing a grand job and has put together a tidy side, they've even managed to overcome a few injury headaches this season, so they'll be pushing them all the way too probably.
No, but im just saying where i think theyre at. Im guessing bellamy or Ireland will miss out depending on the oppo. Or maybe richards out and kompany at ch. Dunno, but anyways, its a top six squad currently. How many points did they get TOTAL from games with Manu, us, chelsea, arsenal, villa and everton? Not a lot i guess. You dont go from that to 4th.
Make no mistake Arsenal and Chelsea will be stronger next year.

Hughes is still not a good enough manager I think.

However, let's not overestimate the power of money, if Chelsea taught us anything it's that the league can be bought fairly easily with big transfer funds and 100k a week contracts and even a chump like Grant can do well with it.
It amazes me how many people forget how Chelsea were a top 4 side before Roman took over. They already had cudicini, terry, lampard, petit, desailly, vialli, le beouf and players of that calibre at the club. They won the fa cup twice in 5 years. What the fuck have citeh built.
Chelsea were a work in progress, citeh are a ground up build. It isnt the same.

Some bellend on Talkshite (I turned over on the way home to find out the Murray score...) angrily said that 'When will people start taking us seriously as a big club?'

Err...how about when you win something for the first time in 30+ years you fucktard, maybe even a place in Europe would be nice? Top six maybe? Stop signing Mercenaries who only go for the wedge? Etc etc ad infinium....

I read an interview with Sean Scannell of Crystal Palace and he said something like: "I've always been a big Chelsea fan. It was back in the days when Marcel Desailly, Mark Hughes and Gianfranco Zola were playing so you can't accuse me of being a glory-hunter."

I get what he was trying to say, that it was before the Abramovich era but they did have a bit of success before then.

It doesn't matter what shithole loser of a joke club you buy, if you can pump a few million in, you will be 'successful'

Chelsea proved that

But to actually win trophies consistently, you need a top manager

Not sure that sheep-fucking Welsh cunt is in that league

12M is fucking peanuts to them, and in Barry they've got a really good player. He'll improve them no end.

If they can add proven quality like him a few more times in the summer, then they'll be a decent chance at breaking into the Top 4 or 5.
