Yeah Origi need time on the pitch and Im absolutely for loaning him out, but what if Sturridge gets injured? If we're ever in a situation where Firmino needs a rest and Sturridge is injured our only options in that central role are Solanke, Ings and Woodburn. Which imo means a significant drop in quality.
I wish we would have signed Sanchez due to his versatility and quality.
He can play upfront, in the hole and on the wing.

It's not ideal, because of Sturridge's injury history, but I have great faith in Solanke, I think by 2nd half of the season he might even become a starter. In a pinch, Mane or Salah can also play up front, they both did in the past.

Did Danny Ings stay in the end? Also don't be surprised if young Brewster gets some cup games. Woodburn is another possibility. I can also see, if necessary, Mane playing centrally with Salah and Chamberlain in the wide forward positions. Lots of possibilities.

Brewster will get minutes. Ings will get the cups, firmino first choice with Sturridge as back up. Big dom solanke will capitalise on any and all poor form and be the hero

We play one central striker, yet people have this weird perception that we need 5 players to fight for this role.

The bigger problem is a lack of depth on the wide forward role. Take away Mane and Salah out and there are literally no similar players. We'd have to move Ox, Lallana or Coutinho out there, which changes the entire way we play.

We really just need 2 but ideally with a third option who is versatile. 2 specialists one makeshift. The last one being Sanchez.
