Substitutes to do the talking

Next season subs are going to be interviewed live after they come off in games.

This is pretty common in other sports but I’m sure it’s going to lead to some interesting comments from players pissed off after being subbed.

The purists will say the games gone!

just been running about for 80 minutes and you’re shoving a microphone in my face, you can get fucked

i hope they get some of the worst interviews and shit can this idea. i don’t like this and poking cameras around team huddles, any sort of dressing room footage and the nonsense sending one player at a time on to the pitch at the club world cup. stop tinkering.

Football's been both a sport and a branch of showbiz for some time now, but has struck a kind of balance between the two. With things like this, the "Club World Cup" and the siting of the real World Cup in impossibly hot countries, the glitz is becoming more important than the sport. 👎

Has that actually been confirmed? Just saw some tweets about it yesterday and they were all very clickbait, mentioning half time interviews with managers and some other dumb ideas as well

The last thing football needs is more main character syndrome refs
They already think they're the main characters in the game. They need to justify these stupid decisions they make. Getting questioned by the press may make them raise their game

Rather hear from subs going in on how they were told to try to affect the game, than players coming off after they are done or have played like cunts.

Sky: How would you rate your performance before being taken off?
Player: I’ve broken my fucking leg so fuck off

I think getting match officials to do postmatch conferences would be more interesting. It would make them more accountable to inconsistencies in the game.

I want less air time for officials. Make them less known so they don’t go around with their own stats etc. i think some refs and VAR teams let their own PR and narrative cloud decisions.

I hate all this shit but particularly the cameras in the dressing rooms. Just let them get on with it. All you see is knackered players slouched around listening to some really uninspiring pep talk anyway.

ChatGPT says we should play 2-5-3
Deepseek says we should go 4-6-0
Grok says we should play Haaland in goal.

Pep : let's go with Grok !
