Win it all or not, it's been a magnificent season, exceeding all of our wildest expectations. I've loved (almost) every second of it, and the impending ultimate disappointment will not last as long as the pride and optimism that Brendan and the boys have brought back to my footballing world.

Thanks LFC, for making me fall in love with football again. Thanks for making me tens years old again for long, long periods of the season. And thanks for doing it all the right way.

Basically, thanks for everything this season. It's been wonderful.

Love yiz. YNWA.

Yup im with you.
Upsetting to have let it fall away but 13 wins 1 draw and 1 defeat in our last 15 games is so fucking utterly ridiculous and glorious im lost for words.
101 goals
84 points
Top scorer
Second top scorer
PFA player of the year
player of the year
Second best young player of the year
Champions league football

Its hard to be down.
Im fucking made up.
I cannot wait for next season.

If 13 wins 1 draw and 1 loss from 15 games is considered implosion...I hope we implode again next season.

We were two far behind at the start of the final lap and City didn't implode. Tough luck, but we made a valaint effort and for a fleeting moment looked like we really were in control.

they were celebrating like they'd won the league. i think it was far too big an emotional peak and it was amateurish. they have looked drained in every subsequent game.

Missing out on only the very last day of the season to a team that cost a gazillion quid to assemble is some achievement. And having done it playing some great football. Plenty to be proud of this season.

I dont agree at all.
Regardless. Its been a quality season. Weve been brilliant for all bar about 3 games.
Its tough to win a league against teams with a bottomless pocket.
We just have to try even harder next year.
Hopefully invest good money in the right places. And keep Suarez

Great effort by the team and staff. Been nice to see us play great footy and smash loads of teams.

Congrats to Citeh, ground it out; worthy champions.

That was my first real experience of a title race. It was tough going. My wife is incredibly happy the season is over as I've been a nightmare the last few weeks (she claims!).

It was brilliant to have football matter so much again. I hope we sign some quality players and can compete again next season.

Well said mate, I'm finding it hard to be angry with anyone today, if the wheels fell off a month ago and we were playing catch up, it'd feel different again, we did well and nearly made it. I can only be happy with that. We lost to another plastic club that have bought the title, we'll do them next time.

Proud as punch.. If i was told in august we'd be runners up id of pissed myself laughing at who told me so, just wish we could of gone further in the cups.

Manager of the year.

My sons and I were totally gutted with us fallen at the last hurdle. Needless to say I felt a teenager all over again. We were breathless this season and a throwback to our glory days. The excitement is back. May it long continue.

I told the lads that this is the kind of euphoria I grew up with when we dominated football year-on-year. Let's go again!
