What happened since last year?

Was Kante the key to making that team run really well?
Or would a goalscoring Vardy and Mahrez @ last year's level have covered that hole?

Are they gonna go down? Would ruin Vardy's movie ...

No Kante , Mahrez looks jaded and other teams don't play a high line to let Vardy in behind.

mahrez has been meh, vardy has been meh and teams are sitting back against them this season, so drinkwater / whoever cant dink a ball over the top to vardy which is highlighting how ordinary they are otherwise. Kante is obviously being missed too.

They all played out of their skins last year, then partied for a couple of months and came back with barely any drive at all. Then Europe distracted them. And other domestic teams worked out how to play them. And the new readiness to penalise for holding opponents in the box has undermined the way they defend set pieces.

They won 2-0 in the same fixture last season. 17 shots in both games but lost 4-2 this season.
Sunderland had 15 shots last season and 22 this season.

Big difference was 1 on target last season to 6 now.
