We need to talk about Harry.

I keep waiting for him to go shit but it's not happening.

Is he actually good for real now?

That header today was a thing of beauty.
I think a forward can blag being good if he can lamp the ball but that deft touch normally eludes the clogger.

Its up there with that amazing header that Mexican guy scored at the world cup a few years ago. Gorgeous it was.

Yeah 21 goals in a team not really built to feed forwards. He looks a real player.

This has been my take on it aswell. He is good and is having a brilliant season. But the English hype is all to much anyway.

He said in an interview a few weeks back something like "don't compare me yet with a young Alan Shearer, I've got s long way to go"...so therefore drawing a comparison between himself and Shearer.

He believes his own hype (and why not, he's had a great season) - pride before a fall and all that. I'm predicting a long barren spell imminently..

12 league goals, and his shots to goals to ratio is 5: 1 this season

That's not impossible to keep up, but it puts him as slightly better than the bracket of Sanchez , Aguero , Van Persie and Berahino and only behind Costa.

I'm not ready to say he's that good. We've seen others put runs together like this.

My money is on him being like most of the posters on here - he'll regress to the mean.

Yep, he's a natural goalscorer, but he's not as good as most natural goalscorers who have made it to the top echelon in the game.

I suspect he'll drop off as soon as he has one bad game & struggle to find form.

That or spurs sell him for 300m to Real Madrid before everyone realises it might not last.

Looks like a quality player in the making.

What I like about him most is that he appears to be pretty level headed, doesn't appear to have an ego (if he does, he doesn't show it).

Good luck to the guy.

Fuck, did I just praise an English player? 😵

This is why Roy making rooney captain was a stupid idea. Rooney is now behind Sturridge and Kane but will always be picked as he is skipper.

I've gotta drum I need to keep banging...................................

If the following 4 young players were available at the same price, the order in which I'd sign them would be.........

Ings > Austin* > Kane > Berahino

Austin and Ings would be level IMO but Austin's injury record worries me.

Did Stead score that much?

I'm trying to think of other strikers who hit double figures in the Premier League at age 21.

Andy Carroll?

I remember Stead signing in the Jan window and whilst he probably didn't hit double figures I think it would have been so if extrapolated. He was only 19/20 at the time.

I think a more realistic compariso (unfortuantley) might be Andy Cole. I watched his "Footballs Greatest" thing on Sky the other week and hadn't really realised just how much he was banging them in from a young age.

Andy Cole is too far in the past for me, the game is different now.

Carroll
Stead
Sturridge
Berahino

There must be a few more
