What have we learnt from pre season so far?

Weirdly I've not managed to catch a game. This is very unusual for me but I'm under the kosh work wise and so have had to make do with reading up on tinter klacker. I've sky plussed a few that I will watch at some point but I'm keen to get some 6CM impressions. Can seems to be well liked as is Ibe - Anything else of note? Cheers.

I have no real idea how we'll perform this year, in terms of league position, and I think that's the same for most of us. The only match I saw live was last night and I thought, in the first half at least, we looked very good, with lovely movement, great one touch passing and a decent pace. We need a goalscorer but apart from that we have a better squad and more options. So there's reason for cautious optimism. No more than that, which is as it should be.

Henderson and Sterling are great and if Emre Can continues this way he'll be immense, can't believe he's 20. And from what little I've seen, Mignolet and Sakho both look a bit more settled and confident.

On the other hand, all of the full backs are shit, it looks like Jose Enrique forgot how to control a simple ball and the other 3 have been even worse. Lambert has been dreadful as well and Coutinho, who has been mostly good, still doesn't know how to shoot.

Enrique hasn't played football for more than 6 months. He'll need some time.
To be fair I haven't seen anything new in this pre season excluding our signings and basically that's Can and Lambert.
One thing is clear though. We need a new striker.
