He's playing like a leader in the middle of the park, out-performing most players week in week out (including our present captain). He wears his heart on his sleeve, is full of drive and passion and helps young players through games, like Manquillo.

I'm not sure what else you want.
 
Remember that time when we played shite, couldn't win to catch a break and Danny Murphy still ended up being the fans' player of the season ?

Yeah, the sentiment is pretty much similar.

Good player and all that. Great attitude but am not so sure bout being a great leader on/off the pitch.

So he's getting his current merit on sentiment? Nothing to do with a brilliant attitude and all of the aforementioned? We missed him when he was out at the end of the season BIGTIME, he's the only player I see in midfield (or attack) who's spurring people on and telling people to do their jobs, he's more vocal than our captain. I don't think it's similar to Danny Murphy at all, and if you mean in terms of quality, then that's just ridiculous.

Modo really doesn't take losing well. As for those saying meh to Henderson being captain, remember that Arsenals actual captain is Mikel Arteta, now that's meh.
 
Joking aside, I honestly never really cared about the captaincy. Sure he wears the armband, sure he leads the team out but there's leaders all over the pitch. For instance, Hyypia lead the defence, Suarez lead the attack. Xabi controlled the pace of the game. They just get on with it.

Yeah but they left ages ago Modo, get over it. It's great that you're banging on about how great a captain Suarez was, given you spent the majority of the last couple of years advocating us getting rid of the "racist".

That's some ditching of morals and complete backtracking, right there.
