How did he do when he came on?
I thought it was a pity he didn't come on when either or both of Benteke and/or Firmino were still on the pitch. I felt when he went on there wasn't much hope of him doing much on his own up there, and it became just a fitness exercise rather than anything else. But that was better than nothing. He needs quite a bit more action before he's going to be genuinely sharp and focused again.
Yes, there was certainly logic in the decisions, I just thought it was unfortunate that they left Studge isolated as a consequence.
I actually thought it would have been great for us if the roles were reversed. Sturridge on when we were chasing a goal because of his movement , and Benteke after we had scored to hold up the ball for counter attacking.Yes, there was certainly logic in the decisions, I just thought it was unfortunate that they left Studge isolated as a consequence.
Any streams for your birthday Macca?
Apropos Carragher's comments, I don't like to hear him sharing his Liverpool insights in the media in this way. It's intriguing of course but it feels like a slight betrayal.
