I can see why its being backed as the heavy ground could well work in its favour. Some e/w value in it thats for sure.

Mastercraftsmen and Delegator are obviously the class acts in the race but these conditions aren't ideal for either. Maybe Mastercraftsmen is the one to be on out of the two as its unbeaten round this track. Delegator has a devastating turn of foot but will it be able to show it today?

I've backed Mastercraftsman - I can't see him being beat - his breeding suggests he'll handle the heavy.

As for the gamble, it's the pricewise horse.
