When the press high up we cant hit it long with any accuracy because of the wind. Smart play by them, we need to stop going back to Alisson so often.
Both teams struggling with the windy conditions there, some decent spells of play, but also scrappy at times. Small pitch leads to a lot of turn-overs. Firmino and Keita keep switching positions, both look much better in the middle and instantly become isolated on the flank. Klopp needs to make some adjustment to this. Mane is on the bench, hopefully he can get some minutes.
It was a half of two halves, Brian. Quite a few players started well but then faded a bit - Keita, for example, who was excellent in the early stages but then seemed to be bypassed too often as the game went on. Salah still seems weirdly sloppy when passing the ball. We faffed around at the back again to no great purpose, played some ridiculous balls to players who were clearly being closed down, and there were too many backward and sideways passing. We need to be quicker.
They had a 10 minute spell where they came into it, but other than that we've been strolling. We're not tearing them apart, but they're defending very deep and they have enough about them to play their way out of dangerous situations. Another goal for us early second half please.
