I usually avoid forecasts at a festival like Cheltenham.

I love my forecasts. Ive found down the years its the best way to consistently make money off small stakes in racing and im not prepared to bet thousands at Cheltenham. It just means a little more homework though.

P.S Im really looking forward to seeing Kauto tomorrow. Like any race it runs in, if it fancies it and jumps well it will do the business.

My story today. I backed all six of the horses above. The original plan was : tenner on the first, second, fifth and sixth races. Then play it by ear on the other two. I stuck 20 on Voy Por. So was 40 down after the third race. Decided to chase my losses by sticking 50 on Kasbah Bliss. So after four races I was very close to giving up. I went to stick a tenner on Ping Pong Sivola but thankfully decided to stick a fiver on it and use the other fiver for a 2.50 e/w bet on Something Wells. 33/1 winner. I broke even thanks to pure luck.

Ah you need a bit of luck at times Ross. I'm gutted missing out on Character Building. Had Beuna Vista and Powerstation e.w. Only money I brought in today.

I was looking at all the outsiders today Ross. You did well actually getting a winner from the lottery of horses. I'd never ever give up gambling though.

Today was a bloodbath for most of us. Some awful scores, but Niall K managed a monster day (I hope you put money on them!), Whitey85 also had a good day, and ILD kept up his consistent performances.

Personally I'm never questioning anyones selections ever again.
