Ante Coric - Almeria (loan with option to buy for €6m)

    Article:
Roma outcast Ante Coric has officially joined second-tier Spanish side Almeria on loan with an option to buy.

It is understood Roma will pay 60 percent of Coric’s salary this season and that Almeria can buy the former Dinamo Zagreb midfielder for €6m next summer.

The 22-year-old was one of Monchi’s recruits at the Olimpico last summer, but he managed just 48 minutes of competitive football in 2018-19.

He will now spend at least the current campaign at Almeria, who were recently taken over by Saudi investor Turki Al-Sheikh.

They are fourth in the Segunda Division after a win and a draw from their opening two games.

Joao Mario - Lokomotiv Moscow (loan with option to buy for €18m)

    Article:
Joao Mario says he has joined ‘a great club’ after officially leaving Inter for Lokomotiv Moscow.

Joao Mario moves to Lokomotiv on a season-long loan with an €18m option to buy, and he was presented by his new club on Tuesday evening.

“I’m very happy to join Lokomotiv,” remarked the midfielder.

“I know this is a great club. They’ve signed many famous and experienced players.

“I asked [Manuel] Fernandes and Eder about Lokomotiv when we played for the Portuguese national team.

“I consulted Eder before the transfer. He told me Lokomotiv were a good team with a wonderful atmosphere.

“Their participation in the Champions League is also an important factor.”

The Nerazzurri paid Sporting CP €45m for his services, just a month after he helped Portugal win Euro 2016.

However, the 26-year-old went on to make only 69 competitive appearances in three seasons, scoring four goals.

He also spent the second half of the 2017-18 campaign at Premier League outfit West Ham United.

Giuseppe Pezzella - Parma (loan with option to buy for €4.5m)

Article: Parma have officially signed Udinese left-back Giuseppe Pezzella on loan with obligation to buy for €4.5m.

Pezzella’s move comes as no surprise, with links between him and Parma first surfacing over a month ago.

The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Genoa.

However, he played just five Serie A games and the Grifone subsequently passed up their €7m option to buy.

The Italy Under-21 international has committed himself to the Gialloblu until 2024.

    Kasper Dolberg - Nice (£18m)

    Article:
After passing his medical on Wednesday and supporting his future teammates from the stands during the derby, Danish striker Kasper Dolberg completed his transfer to OGC Nice on Thursday morning.

The people of Nice already know him. So too, the football world. In search of an offensive reinforcement, Le Gym set its sights on the Denmark international who, at 21 years of age, embodies both the future and the present.

Kasper Dolberg arrived in Nice the day after the INEOS group concluded its takeover of the club, and was its first new signing. The Dane visited Le Gym's facilities in the evening, where he was welcomed by Julien Fournier and Patrick Vieira, before completing his medical on Wednesday, followed by the derby at Allianz Riviera and officially signing his contract on Thursday.

With an athletic build (1.87m, 85kg), good back to goal, in the box, excellent technique: Dolberg has all the assets of the modern striker and already boasts plenty of experience at the highest level.

A forward with enormous potential, he played 39 games last season, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists. Over three seasons with Ajax, he made 119 appearances in all competitions (45 goals, 16 assists).

Launched as a pro in 2015, at the age of 18, with hometown club Silkeborg, Dolberg was quickly recruited by Ajax. He started in the Eredivisie in 2016 and became one of the stars of the Amsterdam club. A finalist in the Europa League in 2017, a semi-finalist in the Champions League in 2019, the ‘Iceberg’ took part in the Q3 Champions League tie won by Les Aiglons over Ajax in the summer of 2017 (1-1; 2-2).

He was selected to represent his country in the 2018 World Cup and came off the bench against France. Last season, he was crowned Dutch league champion and won the Cup with Ajax.

    Alexis Claude-Maurice - Nice (€14m)

    Article:
OGC Nice and FC Lorient have agreed terms for the transfer of Alexis Claude-Maurice. After arriving on the Côte d’Azur on Tuesday, the 21-year-old midfielder passed his medical and signed his new contract with Les Rouge et Noir on Thursday.

After Kasper Dolberg, he is the second attacking recruit for Le Gym’s 2019-20 campaign. And like the Great Dane, ‘ACM’ experienced his first derby at Allianz Riviera as a supporter, watching from the stands.

A creative midfielder, capable of playing in a wide role, in between the lines and in front of goal Claude-Maurice is a product of the FC Lorient youth academy.
A France youth international, the player who hails from Noisy-le-Grand, is coming off two great seasons with Les Merlus. In the 2018-19 campaign, he made 35 appearances in Ligue 2, scoring 14 goals and providing four assists. These statistics, coupled with his quality all-round performances saw him named in last term’s Ligue 2 Team of the Year.

After establishing his name in the second tier, Claude-Maurice can now get his first experience of France’s top flight with Le Gym. It’s the next logical step for this up-and-coming playmaker who, in total, made 57 Ligue 2 appearances, scoring 18 goals and providing five assists.

Alexis Sanchez - Inter Milan (loan)

    Article:
Alexis Sanchez is officially an Inter player. The Chilean has joined the Nerazzurri from Manchester United on a loan deal that will last until 30 June 2020.

Tocopilla, Chile. A small town with less than 25,000 inhabitants. It was here that he began to play football, on the streets with his friends and without even any shoes to play in. Alexis was already the best and he spent his life on those streets.  Showcasing his skills and playing the game that he loved of course, but also to in order to help out his mother with whatever little he could earn. Small jobs and errands, combined with extraordinary somersaults and tricks that earned him the amazement of all and some loose change to help his family.

Alexis had a great future ahead of him and he wanted nothing except to play football. He always said so, practically from the day he was born on 19 December 1988. His first ever football boots were a gift from the mayor of his town, and he wore these for his first real footballing experience with Cobreloa. It was from here in the Atacama desert that he was signed by Udinese, with over 10,000 kilometres separating the two clubs. The move saw two loan spells before his arrival in Udine: first at Colo Colo (winning two titles), then at River Plate (winning the Argentinian Clausura in 2008). At long last he arrived in Europe, with Udinese in Italy.

In Chile, he had already earned the nickname of “El Niño Maravilla”, the Wonder Boy. What he lacked in height, Alexis always made up for in ingenuity, incredible technique, and pace. Three seasons in Serie A saw increasingly positive performances and goal tallies. At times he was simply unstoppable, so much so that it wasn’t long before Barcelona came calling, and in his time there he won a league title, a UEFA Super Cup, a Club World Cup, two Spanish Super Cups and a Copa del Rey. Then from Catalonia to England as he moved to Arsenal, scoring prolifically and winning two FA Cups and three Community Shields. Finally, in 2018, he signed for Manchester United.

In the meantime, Alexis has become a legend for “La Roja”, the Chilean national team. He holds the record for both appearances (130) and goals (43) with Chile, but above all he played a huge part in their consecutive Copa America successes in 2015 and 2016.

Alexis Sanchez is the fifth Chilean in Inter’s history, with Ivan Zamorano, David Pizarro, Luis Jimenez and Gary Medel coming before him. He will have the chance to link back up with Samir Handanovic and Kwadwo Asamoah for the Nerazzurri, both ex-teammates at Udinese, as well as with Romelu Lukaku, with whom he spent the last season and a half at Manchester United.

Throughout Alexis Sanchez's life, football has always represented everything, and he has always been happiest with a ball between his feet. From now on he’ll have a chance to do this in Nerazzurri colours. So, on behalf of the entire Nerazzurri family, we’d like to wish him a very warm welcome and the best of luck. #WelcomeAlexis

    Ryotaro Meshino - Hearts (loan)

    Article:
Hearts have completed the loan signing of Ryotaro Meshino from Manchester City on a season-long deal, subject to international clearance.

The 21-year-old becomes the Jambos’ first-ever Japanese player and will wear the no. 77 shirt.

The Osaka-born forward came through the youth ranks at Gamaba Osaka – one of the J-League’s most successful clubs – before penning his first professional  contract at the age of 17.

Consistently impressing in the U23 side, where he had around a 1 in 3 strike rate, he made his senior debut in April 2018.

Scorer of some spectacular goals, Ryotaro went on to make a total of 36 appearances for Gamba’s first team, scoring six times, before catching the attention of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

He moved to the Etihad Stadium on a permanent deal earlier this month, before being granted a work permit and visa to play for Hearts.

Subject to international clearance, he could be involved in Saturday’s Ladbrokes Premiership match at home to Hamilton Academical.

Reasonably. He needed to leave Ajax as their manager opted for a false nine i Tadic or old Huntelaar. Odd.

Ineos-owned Nice might be on the up. We’ll see, he’s still only 21 but he needs to set Ligue1 on fire.

Tiemoué Bakayoko - Monaco (loan with option to buy)

Article: AS Monaco is pleased to announce the arrival of Tiemoué Bakayoko (25 years old) from Chelsea. The midfielder arrives on loan for a season, with an option to buy.

Trained in Rennes where he made his debut in Ligue 1 in 2013, Tiemoué Bakayoko broke out under the colors of AS Monaco by achieving an excellent season 2016/2017 on the individual level (more than 50 matches) and history for the club who won its 8th title of France Champion in 2017 and reached the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League after a remarkable run.

These performances allowed the midfielder to be called up for the first time in the Blues by Didier Deschamps for a friendly match against Spain (March 28, 2017) after being part of all the selections of young people.

Transferred to Chelsea in the summer of 2017, he made a full season (43 matches) and won the FA Cup 2018. Last season, the defensive midfielder is on loan to AC Milan with whom he played 42 games.

Surprised how Bakayoko couldn’t really fit anywhere and is now back where he started. He looked a quality player at Monaco, there wasn’t much to choose between him and Fabinho. Maybe he’s not very coachable and that was his problem.

Some Monaco fans said Bakayoko's performances flattered to deceive, and the reason for his stand out season was playing next to our very own Fabinho.
