I've already written tomorrow off as a defeat.

Have that feeling myself. :(

The good news is that I'm in row 1 upper tier. That's the best spec in that ground.

I never fancy us there, we should have beat them last season though, if Carra hadn't got injured we probably would have.

And I'm gonna out with you the night before we play Utd?! I'm definitely gonna have to get smashed if you're gonna be this pessimistic! ;)

Oh and by the way, I have secured free entry for us for that club.
Wow, good man.

I've put some feelers out for match tickets, but as per against that lot they're like rocking horse shite, I'll watch it in the boozer if needs must.

True. We played well that day. Maxi missed a open net and Torres missed a few one on ones if i remember correctly.

Not looking forward to it. I'd take a point all day long.

I am really bored of (white) people, continually disputing the age of African footballers/sportsmen.

Are you trying to tell me that Yakubu is 27 ?
Where is your proof that he isn't ?

Where is the proof that A.N.Other African Sportsman isn't the age they say they are ?

Why is it ok to assume and laugh about such doubts ?

I know a couple of Nigerians who both say it used to be common practice over there but has been tightened up recently.

Dunno about other countries.

I realise that's not proof over these individuals, but it did seem to happen to a certain degree.

It's mainly Nigerians I don't believe. Not Africans in general.

It happens very regularly, in a lot of Nigeria the State simply isn't well organised enough to record births as they happen. People often pick their date of birth at a later point.

And that's not to mention the corruption that exists, in Ireland we had a long running asylum case whereby a woman was able to produce documents which seemingly proved the birth of her now dead child which in fact never existed.

why you getting such a bee in your bonnet over this? In the same way UTd are the kings of extra injury time (when more often than not its a fair amount), Bolton are a brutish side (which they're not any more), and other things, why is it this issue you get so wound up by?

Thats rhetorical by the way. I know why. The point is it has happened and its part of the rich tapestry of life to joke about it.

Example: In February 2011, Ivorian football manager Mamadou Gaye and SuperSport television pundit responded to a question asking who he thought would win the 2011 U-17 World Cup with "...any of the four team representing us (Africa) in the world cup U17 can win the trophee(sic),because at that level we like cheating on our age."

If the managers can joke about it, why can't you?

Where did I say it always happens? I was passing on an observation from people who would know much more about it than I do.

I really don't care how old people are.

Well, I never see any Irish players have their age disputed.

It's usually a players eligibility that's disputed , see the long running joke about that since Jack Charlton was in charge.

And compare ...

Tobie mimboe

thats 1 example. Therefore easy to mock african footballers based on age things

its not because they're black

Do you find it funny when a non-Scouser makes a "joke" about Scousers, as if it's fact ?

In December 2010, Senegal Football Federation withdrew Diawandou Diagne, Hervé Diédhiou Samba Diallo from their under-17 national team after it was found they were overage following a MRI scan.[12]

I don't care. I get it off my gfs parents. i've been called a thief, get the "calm down" thing. I couldn't give a solitary shit.
It really doesn't matter.
Its because its a race thing you're getting hot under the collar over it

Theres evidence of it from last year with nigeria. There's evidence since the 90's. It's a joke. Thats it

Yes, but, we both know that a few people, fudging their birthdates, becomes everyfuckingbody doing it, banter-wise, and it pisses me off.
