Is it valid to say that Downing and Adam hasn't strengthened us one bit? I'd like to add Henderson as well.
That's about £40 Million spent and nothing gained.

Hate to bring it up, but it kinda bothers me.
 
Henderson will get better.

Adam and Downing are solid enough, but as you say, I'm not sure if we've strengthened. Probably yes, but they still need to do more.

The first game we looked really really good with them both in the first half. A completely different side. That seems to have faded out. Less of the "wow" factor.

It often happens with new players that they have a honeymoon game or two, after which things slow down as they begin the real hard work of slotting in properly. It's way, WAY too soon to reach any kind of overall judgment on these guys as yet.

Story of our season so far. We really do need to be more clinical when we have teams on the ropes.
 
Wouldn't disagree, but at least the chances are being created and, if we can play like drains and still win, that's got to be a hopeful sign.

The only new signing that I can say has truly made a difference is Enrique, and he was 2nd choice after Clichy.
Bellamy is quality but he's currently on the bench, though he should be starting.
Henderson, not effective but yeah he's young.
Adam is gonna be on the bench as soon as Gerrard is back to full fitness.
Downing gives us width but he hasn't produced anything yet.

Still early days but it's kinda worrying that we suddenly score two goals when Downing and Adam are pulled off, two players who supposedly are starters.

I agree with the rest though bar I think you may be overstating Bellamy's potential contribution to our season, though he made a difference today.
 
2-0 , hit the post hit the bar and had a penalty saved, is good enough for me, with or without a sending off,

Well that was the feeling I got from this years transfer window and Bellamy is quality, not world class. Hasn't done anything wrong since he joined. Or let me put it this way he's done more than Henderson considering the minutes they've played. He should be given a proper chance.

Some Evertonians are despicable bellends but not all of them. Beat them 2-0 on their own patch quite easily. The sending off wasnt but that just makes it even funnier. Lucas and Suarez are boss. I can buy the papers today. Life is good

Why is it that people think we played poor?

We were away from home in a derby and won 2-0, hit the post twice, missed a pen and i can't honestly think of a chance they had.

Seems like a good performance to me.

Downing was the only player who slightly disappointed imo.
