The improvement in our squad can basically be attributed to Rodgers' coaching of the players and a greatly improved Suarez bequeathing £75m to invest in it.

That's it really. The Coutinho and Sturridge signings were brilliant but there were plenty of bad ones to offset them.

While we are having a Mr. Rodgers love in, the win to games percentage stats from both www.lfchistory.net/Managers/ & http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Liverpool_F.C._managers suggest that a win tonight would see Mr. Rodgers leapfrog Benitez into all time fourth place. A great achievement after a such a shaky start. He is the 'Messiah with sexy football'.
