We've got Brighton away in the next round at the Amex stadium, a nice new stadium for us to visit.
Utd got Leeds....

That could be a tricky game.

Gus Poyet has transformed that team.

Full-strength (proper back 4) team please.

This will be the only chance our players have of playing in a brand new stadium.

It means the Seagulls will have a hat-trick of high-profile home games in the space of a week.

Leeds visit in front of the Sky cameras on Friday September 23, followed by arch rivals Crystal Palace on Tuesday September 27.

Albion will want to play the Liverpool game on Tuesday September 20. The Merseysiders are in London the previous Sunday for a lunchtime kick-off against Spurs.

I reckon Squiggles, Ryan and Skully are having a "Who Can Be The Most Miserable Get 2011-12" competition.

A Mard-Off, if you will.

I'm pleased for Brighton that they have got themselves sorted out with a nice new stadium. They had to soldier on for years at the Withdean stadium, which was a small athletics stadium with a running track round it.

Albion fans are celebrating as their dream start to their first season at the American Express Community Stadium continues.

The Seagulls will play Liverpool at home after being drawn against the Premier League giants in the third round of the Carling Cup.

Cheers rang out and fans jumped for joy as the draw was announced just before Saturday's game against Peterborough.

The tie against the Merseysiders is likely to be an evening kick-off on September 20 and is expected to be a sell-out.

An announcement on when tickets will be available is expected tomorrow with sales starting at the end of the week or early next week.

Paul Samrah, chairman of Falmer For All, said the cup tie was exactly what the new £93 million stadium was built for.

He said: “It is a fantastic draw which evokes memories of cup ties against Liverpool in the past.

“It will be one of the top of Premier League sides against the top of the Championship, just extraordinary.

“We said all the way through the Falmer campaign that once the stadium was built the fans would come to the games.

“To get three Premiership sides – Tottenham, Sunderland and Liverpool – here so early is a dream come true.”

Liz Costa, vice-chair of the Albion supporters club, said fans jumped for joy when the draw was announced.

She said: “Bring it on. A home draw against Liverpool is exactly what we wanted.

“Why shouldn't we have a fantastic game against them in our new home?

“It will give us the chance to show them where they will be coming regularly in a few years time.”

Brighton and Hove Albion manager Gus Poyet predicted the tie would be a sell-out.

He said: “Those tickets are going to go very quickly so it will be a full house.

“That will be brilliant for the players and the club.

“All the lads were jumping up and down, especially Nooney and Navs who are from Liverpool.

“We have got one of the top sides in the country. It is going to be a very special night here.”

Fans posting reaction on The Argus website included lordenglandofsussex who said: “What a year this is turning out for the Albion. The stuff of dreams.”

Willie Irvine posted: “No reason why this can't be a fantastic result for the Albion.

“It should be a fantastic night at the Amex and I'd bet on a home win by a single goal.”

Their new gaff is very nice.

To be fair 10+ years in a temporary stadium is a bit harsh on their lot and they were f*cked about by the council for the majority of that time.

They should have permanently renamed the Withdean 'Palookaville'
