LFC Reserves & Youth Team Goals/Highlights

I would say Coady, Ojo, Kent, Wilson, Neco have "made it", just not for us. But yes, it has not been an encouraging two decades for Liverpool's youth system
Ibe and Brewster too. If we got 15m for every half decent youth player then we'd very happy.

I never saw anything amazing about Brewster, never got his hype. There was a type though when it looked like Ibe had the potential to be as good as sterling

I saw that match. Despite all those early goals conceded, Liverpool was the better side. Now, we have seen that before?

[article]Businesswoman and reality TV star Jude Cissé has congratulated her son with former Liverpool star Djibril Cissé on his first international appearance for Wales.

Proud mum Jude congratulated son Prince Kobe Cissé on his first international game which saw Wales defeat Sweden in an age group tournament.

The match, part of the UEFA U16 development tournament, was played at Denbigh Town's Central Park ground on Tuesday.

Prince, one of the three children Jude shares with former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse, scored in the penalty shoot-out.

Jude tweeted: "1st International appearance for Wales UEFA U15/16 tournament for this young man, scored a penalty."

And prior to the match on Instagram, she said: "Congratulations buddy on this International selection.

"Enjoy this wonderful experience. You deserve it."

It was a, well deserved win. Totally dominated the 1st half, should have been more ahead than 1-0. Napoli came back into the game a bit in. The 2nd half, created a few chances before they got a clear pen that was put away brilliantly but we got back in front 7 minutes later. Overall totally controlled the game and 2-1 flatters Napoli. That young doaks had a really good game

[article]Liverpool U21 coach Barry Lewtas says they're stepping up Oakley Cannonier's progress this season.

The striker, 18, struck a memorable hat-trick in midweek as the Reds' under-19 side continued an impressive start to their UEFA Youth League campaign with a 4-0 triumph over Ajax at Kirkby.

The 18-year-old had notched the winner in the 2-1 victory at Napoli the previous week, with his strike in last season's round of 16 tie against Genk meaning he has now scored five times in his last four games in the competition.

With Europe having been identified as an arena where Cannonier can gain valuable experience and minutes, his continued impact has been particularly instructive.

"That extra step up is a step up but he's finding his way and it's really nice," Lewtas, who is taking charge of Liverpool's UEFA Youth League team this season, told the Liverpool Echo. "I felt like last season when we played Jarell Quansah and Billy Koumetio together at centre-back in the 19s, it showcased their talents. It's Oakley's turn this year.

"Sometimes when you move up it can be difficult and it's the same for Oakley. He trains very well, we've known he's going to play these games and he took his goals really well. We're really pleased with him."[/article]
