Inter Milan midfielder and reported Reds target Geoffrey Kondogbia has admitted he may have to leave for regular first-team football.
The Frenchman – a massive Liverpool fan – is struggling for minutes for the manager-less Serie A club and did not feature in the 2-1 defeat to Southampton on Thursday night.
He also started just three times during Frank de Boer’s ill-fated reign.
“I want to be playing and to be happy,” Kondogbia told L’Equipe. “It’s normal that if the situation does not sort itself out, it would become difficult not to think about other things.
“Right now – today – it’s not something we are talking about, though.
“You’ve always got to be optimistic. You have to be realistic. The situation is the way it is and I’ve got to try to turn things around.”
Liverpool have been strongly linked with the 23-year-old since the summer, but face competition from Marseille.
