  1. Mane – by a fucking mile. Goal and winning the penalty aside, that tackle on Chilwell should be forever replayed on his highlight reels, to show that he's so much more than a goal-scorer.
  2. Lovren – one mistake when he could have scored an own goal while unnecessarily cutting out a cross for an offside player, but otherwise played every bit like a proper senior CB for Liverpool. Justified Klopp's decision in starting him over Gomez.
  3. Milner – I had a feeling that any other player on the pitch would have missed that penalty. How lucky we were that he was still on! Deserved start and a solid game overall too.
Honorable mention to Trent.

When it comes to the crunch Mane and Milner step up yet again. Hard to pick between the two. Lovely ball from Milner for the 1st and nerves of steel waiting for VAR in the last minute to take a penalty...Unbelivable pressure to keep the perfect run going...i was a wreck just watching it. Ill go Big Game James for that.
 
Does Salah take the pen of hes still on the pitch by the way? In a high pressure situation like that id always prefer Milner.
 
I wonder how quickly perez arse would've gone if big Virge had lost his temper at the end... rather than maintaining his trademark cool trying to calm it down.

Sorry can't agree with that summation at all. He didn't play badly at all however he often committed himself in midfield and got bypassed. There was one period when in the space of 15 secs he put in 3 missed tackles on the right touch line before getting back to put it into touch on the 4th :D

Quality / Class, not on the same level as the other three.
