Sturridge looked much more "up for it" today than he has for weeks. Maybe he wants to be picked against Dortmund. If Ojo had played the full 90 minutes I might have included him, because the guy has amazing touch. His dribble and cross for Sturridge's goal were outstanding. Bending away from the keeper and right on Sturridge's head.

I'm probably the only one who left Origi out of the top 3, because, like Sturridge's, his header was on a plate and his 2nd was a cross that was horribly misjudged by the keeper. His all round play was excellent though, but those who played more minutes did more, for me, and there are only 3 slots !

1. Milner – I thought he set the tone for the game and played like a real captain today. MOM for me despite not getting on the scoresheet (but 2 assists).
2. Skrtel – didn't put a foot wrong, good to see an assured performance from him after what happened at Southampton.
3. Origi – easy first goal, but 2nd one was a beauty. And his introduction definitely made us look more balanced and stronger.

Honorable mentions to Moreno (unlucky to miss out, although he did get beaten way too easily a couple of times) and Mignolet.
