I've defended them by blaming the MF, I still maintain sorting the MF out would stop some of the goals. However, CB pairing have lots of questions over their heads.
Konate looks to be made of glass and VVD is now getting spun by average players. VVD worries me more as we aren't going to go for new CBs unless Matip leaves, and to buy anyone near VVDs standards, would cost around £100m
I am hoping VVD captures his form when we have more fresh legs but they worry me

Virgil is very much so passive/lazy/getting shitter

Matip is getting older and is never reliable enough for a whole season

We need someone in for potential good money (or on a knock down price) who can steady us again
