Is there any merit in a situation like this, with so many of the '1st team' players underperforming, to bringing in a couple of youngsters into the side? Or is it always a bad idea to do so when the team is struggling?
One of the problems currently is that too many of the squad in certain positions aren't playing consistently well. None of our central midfielders is in form. None of our attackers are playing consistently well. Is there any merit, therefore, to looking at the younger players and elevating a couple in key positions? Or is this completely the wrong time to do so?
(or do we not have the youngsters good enough in those key positions?)
