I heard Richard Scudamore, chief executive of the Premier League, being interviewed by Mark Saggers on BBC 5 Live Sport this evening.
Scudamore came across pretty well, particularly when Saggers suggested to him that Rafa Benitez ought to hold out the hand of friendship to the Blessed Sir Alex. (Don't the BBC love Ginsoak, even though he won't speak to them!)
Scudamore said that the Fergie/Rafa antagonism was part of the entertainment of the Premier League and added that he rather respected Rafa for his willingness to stand up to Sir Alex.
