What did i tell ya lads ^^^^ ;)

I would like to see Glen Johnson come in at right back, Kelly to play centre-back in place of Carra, who in my opinion should be rested quite a lot now that he is getting towards the end of his playing career.

Carra still has plenty to offer us, but I feel that he needs to be rested more if we are to get the best out of him.

:)

Also, against a newly promoted team seems an opportune moment to give Coates a chance.

Yeah, but I wouldn't go too far with the experimentation! Norwich have looked quite good so far in the Premier League. The won't be a pushover I don't think.

I don't think he can be much worse than Skrtel.
Skrtel has good games and bad games but in general I agree with you. Skrtel doesn't have the calm and authority you need in a centre-back. *Nostalgically recalls Sami*

That's bollocks. We're in no position to underestimate any team in the Premier League.

The likes of Wigan and Blackpool have took points off us at Anfield in recent years.

We all thought the Sunderland game was a home banker, look what happened there.

Yeah but it's not like Coates is shit or anything is it? He's come in off the back of a very good tournament and as Krump said, he can't be worse than Skrtel.

You've got to blood them in at some point, and now seems as good a time as any.

Not all of us.

I disagree. This isn't the ideal game for it. Skrtel's the better player.

Coates is a rookie 20 year old from Uruguay in his first season in England and hence putting him in the starting line up would send out the message that we think this match will be a stroll in the park. That's the way i see it anyway.

Fair enough. We were strong favorites for it though.

According to a few reliable people on Twitter, this is the team:

Reina
Johnson
Carra
Skrtel
Enrique
Bellamy
Gerrard
Adam
Downing
Kuyt
Suarez

Bench: Doni, Agger, Flanagan, Spearing Maxi, Henderson, Carroll

Kelly must be injured again :( Quite like that team though, very attacking.

Agger and Carroll should start IMO otherwise good team.

COME ON YOU REDS!!!

Oh yes, but it stank of the usual Liverpool not winning 'those' matches.
