Well done to the Irish!!!

(If anyone says that O'Gara can tackle, then they are wrong)

Anyone who says the Welsh are better than the Irish were wronger.
[/quote]

Ha.

Don't get to carried away Doc, thats just your 2nd GS ever, and we played very poorly and still should have won the game with the last kick of the game.

Rafa, I thought you were a credit were it's due man, but clearly not. You played as well as you were allowed to, and yes, you might have won it, but it would have been a travesty and you know it.

No I am Doc.

Your boys deserved it and like i said fair play to you.

I honestly don't think we played well and it's been that way since the France game for us (just a loss of form i guess).

O'Connell and BOD were special yesterday, and as i've said all along i hope they make P O'C skipper for the Lions becuase he's truly a wonderfull player in my eyes.

I just wouldn't be going overboard saying how much better you are than us though mate becuase its just simply not true + I think its a fair comment to say that O'Gara is very weak when it comes to tackling.

Sorry Rafa, but there was an element of cheap point scoring, '2nd grand slam ever', ROG being a weak tackler.

You're not very good at being gracious in defeat. But Hey, ho. I'm over the moon.

Yes you're right Doc, i take it back mate.

Enjoy it while you can, they don't come around very often whoever you support.

Well done to the Paddies. We threw it away against Italy. This was always going to be a huge game, but had we gone into it with a positive points difference over Ireland I think the whole emphasis would have changed. To beat Ireland by 13 point was nigh on impossible, and in the end, it seems like we were just playing for the Triple Crown.

Oh well, I rememebr the great years of the 70's but also the dreadful era of the 90's so I'm happy anyway!

And we need to learn lineouts again.

I've got one more night here and I'm going to struggle through it. As a spectacle iT wasn't greatbut as a contest it was immense. Henson justified my faith in him yesterday.

I saw some of the Welsh lads out last night (Hook, Roberts, Powell, Gough, AW Jones), all of them a lot more sober than me. Powell did sprint up the street for a taxi at the end of the night which made me wonder how bad that injury was, also he was wearing a Stade Francais t-shirt. Is he a fan of them ?

That was my first time in the Millenium stadium, and it's probably the best stadium I've ever been in. The Yanks could do a lot worse than take the plan for that and slightly modify it for a one tier Kop (which wouldn't take much work) and we'd have a brilliant stadium.

Forgive me for being ignorant. I thought those with a name like Mac is often a Scot, no?

I still can't believe what I saw, after 35 years of watching us find different ways to avoid the Grand Slam I thought we had found a new and even more cruel way - a last second penalty straight in front of the posts. I still don't believe he missed. What a tortuous 80 minutes that was but finally we can say we won the Grand Slam (my Dad was 15 the last time we won it!).

After the last couple of weeks (Liverpool beating the Scum 4-1 and the Scum losing twice added to Ireland beating Scotland and securing the Grand Slam against Wales) my liver needs a break or I will keel over. Unfortunately this weekend Ireland have a crucial world cup qualifier against Bulgaria so my liver might need to wait another week before the recovery process can begin.

"Mc" or "Mac" does often indicate a Scotsman, but it can often denote an Irishman as well. I was once told that "Mc" is usually Scottish and "Mac" tends to be Irish, though I don't know how true that is.

I'm Scots-Irish or an Ulster-Scot if that helps.
