Insignificance

It has been a long time since we had some players of real interest, but now there are a few around that could make it in bigger league.

Ødegaard - He has been spoken about since he was sold to Real M at 16. I was him before that playing in Norwegian top flight at 15. He had a lovely game awerness and smooth silky techical ability to follow it up. The Madrid move have led to him being loaned out around Europe and his progress has not been as promissing as the talent suggested. However this season he has taken a huge step forward. He is more mature in his game and is playing real well. Can play CM/AM or at the right side. Can be a star. By far the best for Norway the last two games.

Haaland- Scoring for fun in Austrian league. Also made his International debut. 19 years old with strong physical abilities. Has a raw talent but should probably stay in Austria as it seem a good place for him to develop further. Will be interesting to watch his development but he sure know were the goal is.

Sander Berge- CM Playing for Genk. Have been tipped for PL Transfer the last two Windows (Arsenal been mentioned). Good on the ball but not sure if he has the tackling strength need to dominate the PL. Not close to Fabinho level to put it like that. But an elegant player with a good vision of play. Tall and strong in the air. Not good enough for us but exciting player anyway.

Ajer- CD for Celtic. Made his way to a starting position for them and is also a regular for the National team. Good on the ball and a smart player. Not really sure how he would develop in PL. Is he fast enough, strong enough or cynical enough? Difficult to say, but I guess he is not far behind Lindelof in quality to use a good neighbour as example. Still young and can develop well.

Yeah it'll be interesting to see Alf Inge's boy play for Salzburg.
Odegaard has looked great. He's a fan so hopefully he'll come for free when his contract with Madrid runs out.

I will add one from Our domestic League.

Håkon Evjen is playing as a wing/AM/CM for Bodø Glimt. He is a wonderful talent, rumoured to be on the radar of Man City. 19 years old, but already the creative spark in a team playing free flowing attacking football. They have no money, so they have built a team on own youngsters combined with some additions from second tier in Norway and they have surprised everyone by going second so far (Norway has around 10 rounds left of the season as we play spring-Autumn). Evjen is technically very good, and has a good vision of the game. Extreme closecontrol and rarely loose the ball. Still also very good in recovering the ball when needed. He sets up teammates with defencesplitting passes and has been part of a front three that has looked unstoppable by playing on the right side. Lately he has dropped into CM and shows he can put down hard work combined with good vision to create matchdefining moments. Not a typical winger, and not a typical CM but he can develop into being real gem in both positions. Maybe to small for a CM spot in PL, however he is still Young and can grow some muscles. Bodø Glimt alledgelly turned Down a 2 M Pound bid for him from the Netherlands in the transfer window but seem destined to loose him in the Januar window.

One short and long video of what he can do.

Solskjaer worked with him at Molde and is apparently a big fan. Still the City connection must be strong because of his dad.

Expect there to be a bit of a battle for this one at some point

Maybe a few Seasons in United can be a useful step on to bigger things?

Haaland with a hattrick this weekend.

I'm looking for forward to see him vs Genk tomorrow.

He has been involved in a goal every 38 minute this season. Don't know too much on the opposition there, but that is really shit hot numbers.

Make that a hattrick.

In the first half of his first CL game.

Seriously, we should be all over him already.

And Szoboszlai also with his first CL goal. Salzburg 5-1 up at half time.

They really have some serious talent assembled there.

So far I see size, speed, finishing 1 on 1s and a decent eye for a pass. That's all great, but a truly world-class striker should also have a variety of ways to beat defenders or create space for the shot, ideally a good defensive work-rate and an ability to hold up the ball. What do people who watch him regularly say?

Yesterday this kid was sold to AZ Alkmaar in The Netherlands. Probably a good move as it is less physical League than PL.

The league is shite to be fair but you still have to do it.

You say the League is shite, but the teams are doing more than ok in Europe. LASK beating Rosenborg is no big deal, but they were far the better team. But Zalsburg and Wolfsberger With real impressive results.

Wasn't he a boyhood liverpool fan? His agent is Bjorn Tore Kvarme.

Regardless, his contact with Real Madrid runs till 2023. Little chance of him being sold until 2021, when his loan ends.

I think we can file this under "Not going to happen"
