Insane that Fabs is left out but as has been said - great for him to rest.

That was a pretty nice video of Richarlison's family's reaction though - clearly means a lot. Good for him.

To be honest Brazil have never taken this competition seriously, i am surprised that many of the main players like neymar, and coutinho have been picked.

Brazil have always been a bit weird when it comes to selection for the national team. It seems each coach has his favourites and form of the players tends to take a back seat.

Yeah i'm glad he's not part of that. Brazil have always used him as a right back anyway? Weird that they don't see him as a DM. Shame Firm doesn't feign injury but on a similar point i hope Fernandino gets torn apart.

In the last few world cups - very much so; public pressure seems to force managers to select players that they only trust, will never forget that useless forward for the world cup in 2014 - Fred, fuck me - out of like 200Million people who are mostly footy mad - big Phil selects someone like him.

Anyway - the Copa America has always as I remember from the 90's up until the mid 2000, been a mixture of Brazil's native footballers with some of the European based players and generally not the very best ones. It has usually been taken seriously by Uruguay, and Argentina, but Brazil have taken it more seriously in the last 15 years or so. I am really astounded that their coach has not selected Fabinio after the performance he put in against Barca (his handling of Messi) and generally for Liverpool this season, plus his versatility should have put him top of the queue. It could be the coach's preference for the ones he he knows better, or maybe he is choosing players that have spent quite a bit of time in South America before going to Europe for this competition. Also really surprised that he did not select Anderson from West Ham, that is just incredible.

One other point - is that he has also not selected Lucas Moura, so it could be that he is deciding not to chose those players who have played extensively this season in Europe - as both Fab, and Moura are most likely to feature in the CL final, yes I know he is selecting Firmino - but I don't actually think they have great striking options - and let's face it Firmino will - if fit just have that CL final to play, plus he is unique compared to the other front guys they have.

When you see the list of players who haven’t made it you have to scratch your head.

Some serious talent left out.

Good for us that Fabhino gets the summer off.

Japan played it it before.

The US was invited for the centenniel.

I've been working on getting Ireland an invite.
Yeah - yet another continent on which to get ripped a new one, while the fans get plaudits for cleaning a bar

And another kick the ball at someone's hand from two yards away VAR decision last night. This is truly great football.

Yeah VAR and these handballs are fucking shit. They're not gonna go back on it either so we'll just have to get over it.
