Holy shit its 12th Jan and we haven't fired up one of these.
Well this year I am a resolutioner. Kinda linked to the age thread, but I am feeling less mobile than ever before (noticeable with a 3 year old) and I find it too easy not to go to the gym. Mostly because it quite simply isn't a priority over family or work.
I'm attempting two things between now and my birthday as a way to force a habit.
1. Diet - i'm actually sorting this out. Most weeks I WFH 4 days, and worst case is 3 days. So I am making sure my WFH diet is on point. At the moment my plan is simple - hit a protein goal (180-200g protein a day). If I do this I feel the rest will follow as long as I am not stupid on alcohol or sweet treats.
2. Home workouts - I have a kettlebell & some dumbells so I'm targeting 3 of these a week. And then still seeing how I can fit gym in. Come Feb work will be quieter and I think I can utilise the pretty reasonable co-working space at my gym. Its all just a case of making a plan and sticking to it.
Hard to say what my goals are - feel fitter and healthier. I want my body fat to come down but i'm never in search of aesthetics. Machine at gym told me i'm 18.4% body fat on 5th Jan, so i'm going to try and get to 15.9% (2.5% reduction) by mid March. I don't know what is realistic with body fat so let's see.
Would be nice to feel much stronger, fitter and mobile with the kettlebell stuff which will just be a case of how it feels.
What's everyone else up to?
