Does any top team play without a striker? Not PSG (433), Not Real (433 but 343 under Xabi), not Barca (433 or 4231). It would be a major gamble to play without a striker.
I'm not necessarily advocating this - just my perception of the team we currently have. We saw Slot utilising Szobo + Jones in this type of set up towards the end of last season, and unless we spend big on a #9 I think this is more likely than seeing Szobo on the bench for Nunez/Jota on the pitch.

You have a point. Though both are bona fide (roaming) CFs now. Which then begs the question ... is Slot planning to convert Wirtz into a CF? In which case we lose, to some extent, his creative ability to play others in, which is what we were all excited about !
One of wirtz best attributes is progressive carries (alongside countless other things). Whyyyyyyyyyyy put him as a false 9?

It is a conundrum. Macca and Gravy as the pivot or two deeper lying CMs. Szobo for his energy and pressing. So where does that leave Wirtz? Or are we just going to be rotating between the 5 of them (I'm including Jones as part of the rotation).

It's quite complicated as a mod and long time resident of a semi stagnating forum like ours knowing exactly how to feel about posters like bluebell. On the one hand you're happy someone's actually bothering to make new threads and prompt new discussion, but then you read the content of those thread's and realise they've had about as much thought and effort put into them as a piss at four in the morning.

At worst you could say it prompts debate. I'm not specifying if it's good or bad debates though. Definitely a mass one however. A debate that is. A huge debate.
Turnovers in final third is different to day tracking back and stopping an opposition full back getting a cross in.
