Last I checked he was playing for the worst team in League 2.
Think he signed a 6 month deal so he'll be back in a few days.
If we can find a quality loan - we should still take that as an option - not a loan like last time. Anyway - how bad is Gomez's injury - if he is back in 3 to 4 weeks then there is no need.
I dont believe in signing a stop gap solution in all honesty. We should probably look to sign someone who can contribute going forward and not someone like Guehi who will be an expensive fourth choice.
Hato makes a ton of sense given that he can play LB and fill in at CB if needed. If not maybe a young CB that can come in and do a job if needed but also can go out on loan next season.
Valencia has a young kid, Gasirowksi, who is 6'3, Spanish U19 international who can play LB and CB, left footed.
Played 10 games in La Liga this season and is out of contract in 2025.
Someone with a bit versatility would be great to have on the bench.

I'm sorry but ... do we prioritse his feelings over winning trophies? I don't give a monkeys about his feelings compared to the club. Harden up, life isn't a bed of roses.
We should do whatever we need to do to win as many trophies as possible this season, the PL and CL prime amongst them.
I don't recall him being that highly rated. Always looked like he was running in sand. It's still a hell of a drop off, though. Think most expected him to do alright in the Championship.
In contrast Quansah was smashing it in the England youth teams before stepping into the squad so carried a some higher pedigree.

We are just a talking shop, Hughes and FSG decide if we dip into the transfer market and history tells us they only react to the following window. Do you remember how bad we were when we started moving MFs to defence? I would rather they recall Nat Philips or get players on loan. But... our track records on loans are, Melo and Kabak. It's not about feelings, it's about playing him to get him into form. He knows the drills, patterns and his teammates. Someone new will take weeks to get it right, by that time Gomez should be back.
