For the last ~6 months or so, I've been making a 'hot pepper jam'.
Great for sandwiches, great to add to any food really & the boys love it.
Simple to make
10 garlic cloves (pieces, not the entire garlic) - sliced finely.
1 kilo of hot peppers
half a lemon
1.5 cups of sugar
1 cup of water
1 tablespoon of silan (date honey)
1 tablespoon of salt
- cut peppers in half & clean the peppers of all their seeds.
- cut them into finger length width
- small drizzle of olive oil, and put the peppers in for a minute or so.
- add garlic, salt & water and let cook for 10-15 minutes
- add sugar, silan & lemon and let cook for 15 minutes
- let cool, put in a jar and enjoy
the above normally lasts for 3-4 weeks.
Enjoy
