Sorry for the thread title. I'm quite out of practice. So there's a lot of talk that Klopp really likes him, despite his notorious lack of end product. From the Guardian:

A Liverpool audition for Traoré?

How do you solve a problem like Adama Traoré? Strong, lightning quick and well able to beat a man or two on his regular rampages upfield, the Wolves winger is undeniably talented but constantly lets himself down with poor finishing and questionable decision-making in the final third. It is a flaw in his game that has been highlighted at length, most recently by Danny Murphy on Match of the Day. Just seven league starts this season suggest he has yet to convince Bruno Lage, and the 25-year-old Spaniard is reported to be on the radar of Saturday’s visitors, Liverpool, despite his appalling scoring record of just seven goals in 152 Premier League appearances. Jürgen Klopp clearly thinks he can get a tune out of him, and he will never get a better chance to impress his potential new employers – assuming he is given a run-out.

Could Klopp get a tune out of him? The talk is they'd accept 20M, which is much more realistic than the 50M they once wanted. I mean his end product is pitiful, but could that be improved in a team like ours?

Would rather see Taki get minutes, and he certainly doesn't get ahead of a fit Harvey. Hard pass.

If anyone can turn him into a world-beater clearly it's Klopp. Pretty sure he has thought about it a bit more than any of us.
If he wants him I'm in.

20m yes, 50m+ no.
That's what the talk is. Maybe less than 20.

Liverpool deal back on as star’s price tag more than halved by Premier League club

Liverpool are reportedly on ‘red alert’ after learning that a Premier League club is willing to accept a cut-price fee for a star attacker.
The Reds need reinforcements along their forward line as they prepare to lose Mo Salah and Sadio Mane this winter. The goalscoring duo will represent Egypt and Senegal respectively at the Africa Cup of Nations, which starts on January 9.

Red Bull Salzburg’s Karim Adeyemi is one option. The teenager is already on 15 goals for the campaign, alerting some of Europe’s biggest clubs to a potential deal. As such, Liverpool will need to beat Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona to his services with a major bid.
Salzburg chief Harald Lurzer recently gave an update on Adeyemi’s future. He said: “We are aware that Karim will probably take the next step next summer. We don’t want to put any obstacles in the way.”
It looks like the Austrian outfit do not want to lose their starlet during the middle of a campaign. They will however be open to a transfer come the start of the summer window.
A more immediate attacking signing could be Wolves’ Adama Traore. The eight-time Spain international has long had admirers at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp is a fan of his ball-carrying skills, which could work well in Liverpool’s fast-paced system. The Reds were keen to engineer a deal in the summer but were put off by his £50million price tag.

Football Insider provide a big new update on the 25-year-old’s future. They report that Wolves are now willing to do business at just £20m in January. They could be pushed down to £18m if Liverpool negotiate successfully.
The West Midlands outfit are aiming to sell Traore so they can fund Hwang Hee-chan’s permanent move. The forward is partway through a loan spell from RB Leipzig.

Can all you jinxy bastards not wait until after we've played Wolves before you say how shit you think he is?
Obviously @Halmeister is entitled to big him up and predict a hat-trick from him on Saturday.

You're a quick learner. And yes, we're obviously doomed.

As for Traore, I would take him. He's raw, end product is questionable etc etc. But I think he would improve around better players, be a great squad option, and he's very dangerous. I'd take him for 20m. But it's obviously a moot point as we're fucking skint.

How about a very lucrative loan option? He’s doing nothing for them and we can pay them oodles of comp without committing long term yet. And then send him back.

You know, like the Italians do.

Forget about the fee. He’s either good enough or he’s not.

I don’t want us to end up with another Origi, Shaqiri or even Minamino. Players that Klopp may “like” but not enough to actually play.

His 5.440 Shot-Creating Actions p90 ranks him third among all Premier League players with at least 6 90s played this season.

His dashing carries sometimes extending the length of the pitch have led to genuine chances, but those have simply not been put away. Examples vs Man Utd and Burnley

[article]"Adama Traore could be a good addition to the squad but he’s not going to play ahead of Salah, Mane, Jota or Firmino," Barnes told BonusCodeBets.

"If he wants to come to Liverpool that would be great but he’ll come knowing he’s not going to play regularly. It would be a great acquisition for the squad. But I can’t see him making that decision."[/article]

Report: Liverpool Deal Agreed For Wolves And Spain Winger Adama Traore As Mohamed Salah And Sadio Mane Leave For AFCON

DAMON CARR
Reports suggest that Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Wolves forward Adama Traore in January for a reported fee £20m. With both Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane going to AFCON, the addition of the Spanish winger would be timely.
Adama Traore is a player that has had speculation surround him for a couple of years now. His speed and strength have been a huge problem for defenders to cope with in the Premier League, which has sparked interest from other clubs.

Liverpool have been one club heavily linked with the Spaniard recently, with Jurgen Klopp said to be a big fan of his. Since Klopp took over, Liverpool have signed many players with potential and have been developed by the coaching team.
Adama Traore fits the bill for this Liverpool team and would be ideal back up for Mane and Salah. With the winger starting to come up to his prime years as a footballer, it would be the ideal time for him to make a step up not only to a bigger but also to play under a manager like Jurgen Klopp.
According to recent reports, Traore will get that chance, as they report that the Spaniard has agreed to join the reds. Jurgen Klopp is well known to develop players with potential, which would be such an attraction for a player like Traore. The reports are from an unreliable source, however it could well be true.
