Seems he's probably off for regular playtime. It would be a pity given how well he's stood in for Ali, but can't complain if he would rather not warm the bench too often.

If I was Adrian I'd defo stick around for another season or two. High chance of more trophies and likely better pay. At his age they are worth more than extra playing time.

Yeah that would be odd , if this side survives summer it wouldn't go against reason that he would likely have a strong chance of more silverware next summer.

I guess he isn't far off achieving some sort of cult-like status for his performances this season , even if it is a short lived stint at the club

How long did we sign him for? Will we get monies, and if so, how much?

He signed a 2 year deal, so it runs to 2021.
Betis is his boyhood club I think, so I’m guessing we’ll let him leave for a low/decent fee. Maybe 2-3 mill or something.

It was another piece of brilliance in the transfer market to bring in Adrian on a free. He has been the best deputy I can remember, and when Alisson is your number 1, you'd think his loss would be devastating, but Adrian has just been a really confident presence between the sticks. I'd love him to hang around.

Are we just going to ignore that him leaving exposes us to the possibility of having Karius as deputy? Unlikely given our stellar transfer record in recent times, but...

He is a #1 keeper at most clubs, fair play to him for that & not just happy to sit on bench collecting his wages every week.

He's been a great pick up and would be nice to have him around next season, I don't think Klopp would keep him against his will. He'll have his played his part in the league win (100% record in goal for him) and picked up a couple of trophies. I reckon he'd be happy with that and try play out the rest of his career as a starter. Will be very hard to pick a quality backup keeper. Kelleher looks nowhere near ready.

Pay him £10k more a month and keep him happy. He is quality number 2

This and what @doctor_mac has said. Really do not want him to leave. Also have noticed that his style has adapted to that of Alisson, like coming out early and standing his ground. Think he has been brilliant.

It's the age old put up with a dead fit bird who only sucks you off on your birthday or settle for one on the turn who'll put her finger up your bum on command question isn't it?
That's why we have two.

Adrian doubled his wages with late Liverpool offer

Adrian was on verge of signing for a lower-ranking La Liga club for £20,000 per week before Liverpool came knocking.

The 32-year-old was about to accept the best offer he had received all summer to return to Spain when Liverpool made a late enquiry to his representatives offering to double his best offer to £40,000 per week to stay in the Premier League.
In addition to his wages worth £160,000 per month, he is thought to have landed a lucrative seven-figure million signing on bonus.
The former Hamme signed a deal with Liverpool following the departure of Simon Mignolet on a permanent switch to Club Brugge earlier today. Mignolet was reported to earn £60,000 per week so the Reds will still be making a significant saving on their backup keeper.

Adrian spent a six-year spell with West Ham making 150 appearances for the club before leaving this summer at the end of his contract. Pellegrini signed Roberto and David Martin who combined wages are claimed to be less than Adrian enjoyed.

I don't think it always is. He's 32, he loves playing footy. That's not to say we shouldn't offer him a contract that Betis can't match and see what he says.
Silverware, cup games, the odd league games 3 year contract and 50k a week. RB is not matching that.

Good for Adrian if he wants to leave to get some playing time. Best of luck if he does go and i get it, since his playing time here is so limited unless Alisson goes down injured.

But (if) it's his boyhood club, we cannot match that.

Adrian's not a case of a player who's looking to finally win a trophy and would stay in order to chase it, since he'd be leaving as World, Super Cup, Premier League and possibly Champions League champion. He can pack up his trophies and go get regular playing time for the last few good years of his career.

Are we going to offer him another 3 years? That seems unlikely. Hes 32 this is probably his last contract at a top division club, if he wants to go home and play first team football for the club he supports then fair enough.

He wont win any trophies but 6 months ago he didnt even have a club. Now hes got a european super cup, world club cup and PL medal to come, potentially more. Hes more than exceeded his trophy expectations for his career.
